I can't say if going back on B5 will resolve the issue, I get all my information from weeks of reading books & countless forums before I make

the decision to proceed with any vitamin/mineral/amino acid treatment.

That being said I've made my ignorant mistakes of not following my own instructions, but you live & you learn, luckily I didn't suffer severely.

Now back to your question, in my opinion if the people megadosing on vitamin C suffered from scurvy once stopped (a deficiency in vitamin C)

then it's possible that the same rule could apply to vitamin B5, but I cant know for sure.

But if you were to attempt this I would do it with a low dose.

I am geneticaly prone to hairloss, so any vitamin/mineral/amino acid can activate this mechansim in me which means if megadosing on b5

caused many people hairloss, it would 100% do the same for me which is why I kept reading & reading & researching until I came to this forum

& designed the appropriate safest dosage to proceed, mind you it's still early days, & I may still suffer.

Most people experienced hairloss after just 2weeks on B5, I have been dosing for one month now & experienced nothing of the sort,

on the contrary at times I feel my hair health has improved, but that can be placebo, or a cause of the many other vitamins I'm taking.

Also I would like to add that another mistake I luckily rectified in time is to never take a vitamin on it's own ESPECIALLY if your planning on megadosing,

because any synthetic vitamin taken in megadoses will surely deplete you of other vitamins your body is already low on, needs or otherwise.

So for future readers & vitamin experimetners:

PLEASE research your heart out before you prescribe yourself a vitamin treatment.

Don't only reasearch websites promoting the vitamin in question but also books & most importantly discussion

forums of REAL people with REAL experiences with the vitamin in question.

Don't just look at the positive's & jump right in, if that were the case I would have jumped in with megadosing with B5 after the

1st 5 forums I read, but from lessons learned I kept researching & came across the hairloss experiences with B5, eventually you

will always find the negative results experienced aswell as the positives & from there way out your options.

& finally nobody has spent more time with your body then you, you know what you suffer from & what your body

is prone to under a variety of circumstances, that being said there's only so much one can know & seeking a doctors treatment

is an option one should aways make available.

My apologies for rambling, I just know the feeling when a negative affect takes hold of you, & I would hate to be the cause of it

because of my ignorance to further reasearch before putting something into my body.

I would have liked to find a msg like this to put some perspective on things.

Don't just take one persons advice & follow through,

go & research the question you just asked, I guarantee you will find a variety of answers & with that you will

have much more valuable information to base your decision on.

I been on 9 grams ..almost done with month 3

No acne no oils no hairloss

Take a complete vitamin b pill to avoid hair damage

Plus I heard people take b5 for hairloss

This is not true. If you review other forums, a number of people took a Vit B Supplement and experienced hairloss. I have been taking a Vit B Supplement for 2 years and still have hairloss.

I think the reason I cleared up when I first started taking B5 was because I dropped all my other supplements to do so. Now that I've dropped B5 too, and am taking nothing but an anti-histamine, my skin is getting clearer than ever.

So just to clarify, NO ONE- Philly, PJ, Exister, etc actually did Step 2, the Crude Oil. And did anyone try step 3, which is connected to the thyroid, being part of the adrenals someone mentioned above.

In your 1st post you said you hadn't seen any hair regrowth yet because it took time. Do you have any regrowth by now?

yes 100% hair, 100% acne free

Mis911 is correct by the way. Edgar cayce (where i got the atomidine from) said do not stop any vitamisn immediately because it will cause to great a strain on the system. Glad to see scientific proof of that. Remember that guy from the healthforums who cured his hairloss a few years ago continued taking b5.

For those who have money and think it is partially conencted to the thyroid, maybe you should try atomidine+ acupuncture. Acupuncture is suppose to the correct the endrocrine system which the thyroid is part of.

Itsover do you think that the atomidine was what cured the hairloss rather than the l-cysteine as I feel like its not doing anything. Do you still take l-cysteine and atomidine. Also how much atomidine did you take. You seem to be the only 1 out of hundreds of people that have cured this.

Also a guy on a steroid forum told me to take bimatoprost in gel form and it will solve my problem. Those guys use a lot of b5 to stop acne on cycle.

0, which is why I'm clear. I was taking anywhere from 500 mg to 9 g per day over the last few months.

You could try it. If you are still experiencing hairloss I don't see how it could hurt you anymore, but everyone's body is different. For example Nakedsmurf has been taking a b complex for months, while b complex did nothing (positive) for others.

After doing some reading up on crude oil I've decided against it, in my opinion there isn't enough people that have tried it with positive results

for me to include it in my regime.

All I could find is 2or3 reviews that didn't seem authentic, & these few reviews I found were written years ago, if this treatment was released years

ago & hasn't taken off by now well....?

Plus the negative's discussed on the few forums I read seemed to outweigh the positive's in my opinion.

But anyone else that's game to try this please share your results so others may benefit.

Went to docs but he didn't have a clue and never heard of b5 hairloss, so waste of time really but got blood test next week

Do you know what you're getting tested? Make sure to ask for those results. If you're getting vitamin levels tested, it may be a waste of time.

Like stated above, you wanna get cortisol, testosterone/DHT, and thyroid tested....best of luck

To be honest I kind of rule out cortisol and dht as I use blockers when on cycle and my hair never changes, but thyroid yes

According to my humble researches the Pantothenic Acid / hairloss connection might be explained by two mechanisms :
1) Hypercalcemia : 1 g Calcium Pantothenate = 90 mg Calcium, so taking very high doses like 10/20 g everyday will deplete Magnesium over time, and Magnesium deficiency is linked to hair loss.
2) Cysteine depletion : Coenzyme A is synthesized from Pantothenate and Cysteine, large amounts of Pantothenic Acid would bind to all the Cysteine present in the body and lead to its depletion. Cysteine being particularly important for hair, hair loss would occur.
I have insanely oily skin myself and I'm planning to tackle it like this :
1 g Calcium Pantothenate + 2 g Cysteine /day
or
1 g Calcium Pantothenate + 0.5 g Panthetine + 2.5 g Cysteine /day
or
1 g Calcium Pantothenate + 0.5 g Panthetine + 2 g Cysteine per day + 0.5 g NAC /day
The purpose of adding two cysteine derivatives like cysteamine (contained in Panthetine) and NAC is to increase the chance of absorption of that Amino Acid.

I'm very fascinated by your research & choices of dosage.

May I ask...

Why did you choose the 2:1 reatio in regards to taking more cysteine/nac then b5?

This forum mostly discusses a 1:2 ratio, which is what I have been following.

Also

What is your opinion on the absorption of L cysteine to NAC?

As with the research I've done I've come to the conclusion that NAC is the best form to take, the least toxic, & the most binding,

I have attatched this info in previous quotes written in this forum.

And finally..

Since you discussed magnesium as also being depleted while dosing on b5,

why have you not included it in your regime?



Oh & if you could please include the sources/links of you research,

would love to read into them myself.

Especially in regards to the doses of calcium depleting magnesium

as im taking high doses of calcium ascorbate along with the b5,

but I've also recently included magnesium ascorbate, but wasn't planing on staying on it long

Did you take calcium ascorbate & magnesium ascorbate for your acne? Aren't they just vitamin C?

I'm taking them for overall health aswell as an acne remedy, it is so far providing some assistance at minimising & shifting the breakouts.

I alternate between the calcium & magnesium ascorbate daily, yes they are both forms of vitamin C or mineral ascorbates.

Mineral ascorbates: When mineral salts of ascorbic acid are taken, BOTH the ascorbic acid and the mineral appear to be well-absorbed, so it is important to take into consideration the dose of the mineral accompanying the ascorbic acid when taking large doses of mineral ascorbates.

Hence why I chose those two forms of mineral ascorbate's, to get my vitamin C along with a suitable amount of calcium & magnesium dosage.

Hey guys,

So I have been taking finestride for hair loss for about 8 months with great results. Hair has got much thicker.

3 Days ago I started taking 1.5g of B5 a day for acne.

I have just come across this forum and now I'm a little worried.

I emailed the doc who prescribed the finestride and he said it should be fine to take the b5 as long as I keep going with the finestride.

DON'T TAKE B5 it fucked my life up my hair is really really thin now I may have to shave it all off, except for the op know one else has found a cure out of hundreds of people. Don't take anymore than 1.5 if you really do want to take it

I wouldn't take B5 at any dose higher than .5 grams per day. A girl on another forum said she lost her hair by using 1 gram a day and it never grew back.

It ruined my hair. Still looking for a cure. I am going to book a doctors apt and get tests done on thyroid/ hormones.

I meant to mention this earlier but I have been on Propecia (Finasteride) and Rogain for 6 months and I am still shedding like crazy and it has not slowed down...

I was thinking about regain but I guess ill think again, I read earlier that a guy reduced his his shedding massively by using acetyl-l-carnitine

I been taking. B5 9 grams for about 3 months now everyday and I don't have any hairs falling out ....if anything I think it makes my hair look healthy plus no more acne. I rather take b5 than Accutane.

Mate I was the same I took about 6 grams for about 7 months and then it began and it hasn't stopped since and I havnt taken b5 for about 8 months now, 9 grams is way too much man ur just messing yourself up but it's your choice at the end of the day

Try msm powder for acne that's what I've been using and I find it pretty good, also get some real African black soap form eBay or somewhere that also helps.
