Hi Guys,

I'm new here. So I am a 25 year old male who has suffered from mild to cystic acne on my shoulders and top of my back since I was 17 (such a long time.. I am so sick of it - I just want to be able to take my shirt off at the beach). I also have a little breakout on my face but nothing noticeable. I tried everything - monitoring my diet (I eat very healthy), using countless topical ointments and antibiotics (Amoxicillin). The antibiotics did work... but I was on them for a long period of time (9 months) which weakened my immune system and triggered Shingles (horrible!). But once I was off them it all came back. The ointments are also very varied in effectiveness and temporary.I was always cautious about taking Roaccutane for good reason due to the side effects but now I have taken the plunge and have started my course. My dermo has prescribed me a 6 month course of low-dose Roaccutane - I am taking 10mg three times a week - every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I was a little curious about the low dose but he assured me it would still work. Well... fingers crossed and wish me luck! Posted Image

Hey there i know this is a little late... by a few years lol... but I am attempting a similar course, mine will be one 20 mg pill once a week. after you started your 30mg/week, how long before you started seeing improvements? did you ever get clear or clear-enough using just 30mg a week ?? thanks
