I have body acne everywhere (shoulders, back, some on arms, chest). I dont know which positions to sleep in so that the acne wont become irritated.

Can sleeping positions affect body acne?

Hi whoartthou1 , you make a good point about
sleeping positions and acne... I never thought of that. Now -- If any of you are
struggling with acne, then I recommend you
check out 'acne no more'. There is a thorough review on it
here www.stopacne.acneremedyx.com. I hope that
helps some of you here at acne.org

Personally, I believe sleeping position can definitely affect acne, especially if it is the folliculitis or Grover's varieties like I have. Both of those are known to be exasperated by rubbing. I sleep on my back to avoid having my face touching anything. I have pretty continuous issues with breakouts on my back and back-of-head. Really sucks. Wish I had a solution.

  • Interests:I had severe cystic acne. I struggled with different treatments for about 2 years until I tried a complete treatment system. Before that I was trying OTC creams, prescription pills and that was only making the problem worse. Since I've been using a complete treatment system (not Proactiv!), my cystic acne is 90% gone. I get one here and there, but my whole face isn't covered like before. You can see some reviews and comparisons on these treatment systems @ http://dermahealthreview.com/blog

i would guess it's largely unrelated if you're refering to body acne and not facial acne. I've had bacne for years and I've tried altering my sleeping position (from back to sides etc) to no avail.
