So i have been on the regimen for like a week. i have been reading about exfoliated to clear blemishes. should i add the St. Ives blemish and blackhead controll to dan regimen or should i wait for a while.

If you haven't experienced any irritation from the BP I say go for it. Use a gentle scrub though, and not more than 2-3 times a week.

If you're following the regimen then follow it exactly and precisely as dans describes and you will have enventual success. If you start adding in products and extra steps you run the risk of not becoming clear. As Ind1g0 has said, BP is irritating enough without adding in exfoliation.
To give you an example, I got completely clear following Dan's regimen within 3 months. In my 4th month I was tempted to use an exfoliating scrub (for old times sake). I used it on perfectly blemish free skin and within 2 days I had about 5 pimples come up. That was my lesson learnt about not exfoliating.
