So I have a odd question. Has anybody heard of any cases where hyperthyroidism causes excessive sweating which leads to body acne? For a long time now, my body has had a problem with extreme excessive sweating so much so that I could walk outside in 40 degree weather and my shirt would be soaked with sweat. I feel this excessive sweating then leads to chest and back acne because my skin cannot properly keep up the the sweat amount. Would love any feed back'
Thanks
Hyperthyroid..

Do some reading on a skin condition called Grover's disease. Small itchy red bumps on back and/or chest which is often mis-diagnosed as folliculitis. Heat and sweating are believed to induce the breakout. It's not bacterial or fungal and the first line of treatment is usually a topical steroid cream. I was recently diagnosed as having it through a biopsy analysis.
