Hello! I have been using Tretenoin cream .025% for 12 weeks to treat my non-inflamed acne. I use it every other night. I used topical clindmycin from Aug- September but have taken it out of my regimen with no adverse affects.

My face care regimen is:

for tretinoin nights:
wash with dermalogica calming cleanser
wait 30 mins.
apply pea size amt. of tretenoin to face.

on off nights:
wash with dermalogica calming cleanser
apply earth science almond/ aloe moisturizer

I take high quality, medical grade multivitamins along with fish oil.
I have been on BCP (gianvi) forever.
I try to eat healthy and hydrate but do not restrict my diet at all.
I am being tested for thyroid dysfunction, systemic yeast and adrenal fatigue and will update with the results of that testing once I know.

here is the progress:

1st 2 are from June
2nd 2 are from today

Thank you for reading!

A few more comments from me :)

I am really trying to stick to one consistent regimen for the entire 20 week course. THIS HAS BEEN HARD! I think I am a bit compulsive about trying and changing products as a result of feeling a bit hopeless with acne (as mild as it is) that wont budge. I have wanted to start AHA treatment almost every week but have been talking myself out of it. I am increasing the tretenoin now that I've reached 12 weeks to 2 days on 1 day off to try to get some of the bumps off my right cheek. Hoping this won't leave me with too much dryness,

That being said I LOVE the Earth Science moisturizer I mentioned above. I have had no peeling and very minimal dryness while on tretenoin. The moisturizer is not very heavy but does a good job. I just bought a second batch of it- which really says something.

I have been picking badly for most of the past 12 weeks...which is problem for another day. The tretenoin has been pushing junk out of my pores and I can't stop myself from helping it out. I don't have too many red marks as you can see from the pictures but I'm really just lucky...I'm hoping to stop doing this.

I did find out that my thyroid seems to be fine but my vitamin D levels are a bit low.

I will find out about yeast and adrenals around the 20th of November and will find out how to proceed from there.

Thanks for reading!

xoxo

Forgot to mention the Earth Science Moisturizer is cheap! 8 dollars or so at Whole Foods! I love it.

Could someone please move this thread into the topical log forum? Thanks!
