Aby, just got through reading your entire log and i am so incredibly proud of you for holding on.  Its really hard going through something and not knowing what the end results will be.  In any event, remember that you've made incredible progress.

I am glad that you have made friends with thereisalwayshope as she is one of the sweetest people on here and probably went through something similiar that you have been going through.

Your log gives me hope that when i do decide to try the regimen, i may finally see consistent improvement instead of the constant disappointment that i have gone through since 7/11, when my acne 1st returned and i begun using different treatments.   I am currently on accutane for the 3rd time and it is not working for me so i'm like 'why not give the regimen a shot, what do i have to lose'.

As for your cysts, have you tried SPIRO?  That seems to work for some people with cystic acne and may be what you need to finally get clear alongside the regimen.  Keep updating us.

Rooting for you girl!

It's a rocky road but like everything else in life, there is always a beginning and an end.  Here's to finding my end.

God is good to me..........more than I deserve.

James 1:2-4

Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

Yes me and thereisalwayshope are good friends in fact we are best friends :)
Thank you much for rooting me and motivating me to not give up . Life is a constant battle and we can't surrender . We are warriors like I've said and we are not afraid of confrontation.
I'm sorry to hear that accutane isn't your miracle drug and if you do give Dans regimen a chance I hope that you receive amazing results from it :) just make sure to apply sunscreen :)
As for your question in regards to Spiro, I have contemplated on trying it but once I decide to have a child my hormones will be out of sync and my acne will return . My approach is to not postpone my acne but to treat it with dkr and a very religious food lifestyle . So, I refuse to get on any birth control as well as refusing accutane as a last resort . Thank you for input it is always appreciated :) Be bless my lady :)

DAY 124
Gee Louise where has the time gone ? I am now 4-months in Dkr and my skin is way better than when I started . A toast to that :)
I have 1 dormant pimple on my chin with 2 tiny scabs (due to picking) I have one spot on my forehead (the pimple died three days ago)
R/T cheek has a few spots but they are fading oh yes they are :)
L/T cheek has a few spots as well and one dried out pimple near my ear :/ whomp whomp !!!
Haven't worn make up in a long time . I miss the old days when I would apply make up :/ but not until my skin is 100% clear . I'd say I'm 80% clear. I have 3 pimples momentarily . No freaking CYST! Oh yesssss !!!
Be blessed or die trying :) :)

Trust me , if you stay positive and loyal to the regimen I don't see why it shouldn't work . There were many times when I felt like quitting, but I pulled through and kept with the regimen because I had nothing else after the regime . Everything else had failed me :(
So, again I repeat stick to it and remain optimistic :) two main contributors to your skins progression.

Day 127
I still have two pimples on my chin. Two that I severely picked at haha. Every time I popped them they got filled with pus again but this time I know I got all the gunk out . Now the healing process begins . Hoping they scab and peel off soon .

.No worries I just admire people who keep postive after all its not the nicest thing to go through I find it so hard to be postive sometimes so it helps when i here people are doing their best to deal with this. Anyway I have a qoute for you:-

... If you can see yourself as how you wish you looked, then why cant you feel like you would if you actually physical looked that way. If you would be confident, and daring, and charming, then if you can truly see yourself that way those attributes will shine through anyways, because in truth they've always been there just waiting for you to set them free. People see what you show them.

I'm amazed :)
Did you come up with that lovely phrase ? I love it :)
Your absolutely right . We have to embrace our identity, our characteristics and value our self worth . It's tough as hell tho when your dealing with Acne but sometimes confidence alone can attract many positive things in life :)
I've witnessed it myself why displaying natural beauty and a mere smile .
It's ok to be depressed at times, it's commonly normal , but when it becomes habitual than there are deeper issues that must be attended immediately .
I love your positive vibe :) I do .

I feel you on the whole Anti-social. I also became reclusive when my acne erupted . I feel like women are more susceptible to scrutiny because of the notions and pressure that is placed on us. We have to be cosmetically pretty to be deemed acceptable by society and that's why when I broke out severly I hid under my bed sheets . For at least two year and I still have trouble trying to be social . I just can't seem to become socially anymore . When acne hits your hard it really degenerates your happy hormones (dopamine) I think their called . Acne traumatizes us . It is constantly present in our mind, torturing us . Gah is a terrible cycle but I think I'm starting to see clearly now. Clearly to the point where acne is slowly creeping out of my mind and on its ways out permanently I hope . But I also feel that the regimen plays a big part as well . Nonetheless, acne still colonized my face and mental state from time to time . Your not alone . You don't have to try to be socially active this instant but at some point you will have to :) and you can take it slowly . Step by step .

Hey Abybar! I read through your whole log and as everyone has noted, it's so nice to see how positive you are about everything! I'd get through everyday so much easier if i had a mindset like yours haha :) I've started the regimen a few days ago and hoping i stick to it for as long as you did/for as long as I need to and eventually start seeing results sooner or later! Good luck and keep posting, I'll definitely be reading on :) hope things only get better from now!

Awe thank you so much sweetheart ;)
You made my day !
I'm so glad that you've jumped on the bandwagon he-he. The regimen is a lifesaver and I'm praying that you receive positive results as well . The first month Id like to call it the Tough (iwannagiveup) stage but if you can get through that I'd say your a true warrior indeed . Its really difficult for us to notice improvements because we want clear clear skin but when others compliment you then that's when you think....I tried uploaded photos from my iPhone but I can't :/ I will try to tonight . So y'all can be the judge :)

DAY 133
Well like I've said the regime isn't a permanent cure. Momentarily I have two pimples on my LT cheek that are a result of a glycolic peel an note how I didn't say they were cyst. It's been a couple weeks I'd say. I still get flaky here And there even with the AHa but it's much better than acne . So I'll deal with it. other than that it looks good ! I hope to clear as day this summer . And for all my followers I will Pray every day for your skin as well. No one deserves this . #BeBlessed or Die Trying :)

DAY 140

WHAT CAN I SAY ? Well I am almost 5 months in the regimen.
Skin has 1 pimple that I extracted the pus from. Now I have two pimples hearings. So a total of 2 pimples .
Skin is not flaky just red . It's been like this for a couple of days now . Hmm very odd but I'm trying not to focus on that so much.
I have pitted and ice pick scars on both of my cheeks an temples . Hoping that one day in the future I can afford a laser treatment to minimize the appearance of those ugly suckers .
Other than that skin is doing Alright :)

5 MONTHS
WELL, nothin major maybe a small tiny pimples but nothing severe .
I still have many PIH some that we're caused due to my bad habit of OCD. Gah ! I need to stop picking ! It's constantly present in my mind . Picking picking .
Also, I dislike the fact that my peach fuzz is so noticeable .
Gee thanks to my friend who mentioned it to me . He said that when the sun hits my face is noticeable . How shattering !!!!
Anyways, talk to y'all soon . #Be Blessed or Die Trying.

Congrats!! I've been following your progress since month 1, so happy it's all working out for you. What do you use for your scabs? I got a facial 2 days ago and i have no clue what happened but I now have a huge dark red scab on my chin and I have no clue how to heal it quick, since I'm definitely not going to peel it off and leave a scar

If you are interested in seeing my progress via pic I can email . Sadly I've been accessing the org through my cell phone and I cannot upload photos through my phone :/

Hey celery :D
For scabs I find that aloe Vera helped speed the process of it or neosporin . Both work wonders. By day 2 my scab was ready to fall off and no scars . Trust me I have chemically burned my skin with a glycoli peel and I applied neosporin and by day 2 my scab fell off, leaving only new baby red skin underneath . The redness faded away within a day.
