Hello everyone, I am a 19 year old male and have been on differin gel (0.1%) for 2+ months now and I would say I am 99% acne free. I still get those occasional tiny surface zits here and there but it is no problem to me. I have never gotten a cyst in 2+ months and I am very happy with that. But I do have several macules and a few indented scars from past acne. Most macules have faded quite a bit and isn't a problem but the indented scars bothers me. I do feel they have lost some discoloration and a few are unnoticeable but I have three deeper (but not too deep) on my t-zone and I am just wondering what is the best treatment for individual scars like this? One scar is oval shaped, about a pinky fingernail long and two are tiny but has sharp edges and are indented. What treatments should I go for here? I do not think I need any abrasive treatments like laser. Do you think I should opt for TCA Cross, punch excision or not do anything at all? Are there any topicals out there that could help? Thanks and please reply!

Try individually needing them with a very sharp, small, sterile needle. What you do is poke the scars... you should hear a pop, you're essentially breaking up scar tissue. Be sure to needle the edges, too. It should help soften the scars appearance. I've been doing this to my scars (they're pretty shallow), as well as many others. I see improvements, but it takes time. Just as anything. You can research into skin needling, if you want to know more. I would recommend a dermaroller, but since its only a few scars, an individual needle works best.

I just answered a question about dermarolling with pics in this thread: http://www.acne.org/...67#entry3300067
I've been doing it for 1 1/2 years and have seen results but it does take time but it's totally worth it.

Look into Selphyl injections. it uses your own blood plasma (I think it's plasma but it's definitely from your blood) to stimulate collagen in your skin to fill up the deeper scars
