So basically a year ago i had breakouts and most of them are large acnes (that's what you called cyst and the likes? Sorry english is not my first language). I remember back then i was using whey protein supplement for my gym activities and it caused me horrible breakouts. I stopped using it a month later and never came back.
Actually my condition had improved and i finally got way better about 3 months ago but then new breakout came in since a month ago and it looks like this breakout wont stop anytime soon.
Almost every day I grow up new acne and at least half of them are large ones. Im not sure what's happening as I dont take any protein supplement or the likes but then if I try to look back to my past I remember I took antibiotics 3 time in the past 4 months. I think that caused me a bit of drop in my immune system?
I dont remember the antibiotics brand to be honest. But regarding my story, I had motorcycle accident and it caused me severe injury on my knee about 4 months ago. Doctor prescribed me antibiotics back then. Few months later which is early August, I was (again) prescribed an antibiotics after the doctor found out that injury still had some infection inside (dry outside, but still wet inside due to small infection). Of course he also did some mini surgery to clean up the wounds (now my knee is already ok with lots of keloid)
and unfortunately, somewhere between those months I also took antibiotics for my acne. Of course it helped back then but only during the time I took the antibiotics (only for a week...)
now everything seems like getting worse. Almost every day I grow up new acne. I came to visit a dermatologist and she said it's due to hormonal (most likely). She's just like any other dermatologist, wants to prescribe me antibiotics but i refused. I already suspect the antibiotics i consumed earlier are the cause of all this so I refused her option. Now i dont know what to do...
I have read several topics here on acne.org and I believe probiotics is what I need to revive the good bacterias in my body or something. But then I can't eat/drink milk because I remember i had very large acne when I ate pizza. So how do I get those good bacterias and at the same time avoiding milk? Is it true yogurt (without added sugar) can help me as I read somewhere else yogurt should cause no problem?
I know there are non-dairy probiotics provider, I have googled them, but Im sure those stuffs arent common and regular people in my country wouldnt even know how to find them. So can somebody tell me how to find "easy" and "regular" probiotics that would help me fight back these acne?
another question is regarding my diet. I have started to stop every oil consumption again since 2 weeks ago, I didnt drink coffee (not sure if it has any relation to acne), and I dont eat egg anymore. I fear about something after I read a thread somewhere here. Someone said we should not eat grains. Well I live in southeast asia where everyone eat rice. I know i can just go to supermarket and buy bread and eat at home with that but do I really need to do that all the time? As someone who mostly work from home (my primary job is being a currency trader and internet marketer) I definitely can do that but I still feel it's difficult as there are moments where I have to go out and eat outside. Sure there are noodles or even steak or anything without rice but do I really need to do that?
Please, I just want this to stop. I know there isnt quick fix to this kind of thing. I just want to start fighting this acne and this time once and for all. so yes, if you guys tell me to stop eating grains i will start doing that (although it's hard but i will try my best!)
and btw i have been starting to eat zinc supplement (contains zinc picolinate 50 mg) since few days ago. Would it help?
