My dermatologist suggested I start chemical-peel treatments for my scarring after I finish Accutane, but I'm not entirely sure I want to do that. So I want to know, from your guys' experiences, what the best way to treat scarring is. Are there any over-the-counter drugs that I could take to help fade my acne scars, or should I just wait for them to go away/fade naturally? I do plan on asking my dermatologist when I next see her, but I thought I'd do some research on my own prior to that.

EDIT: I just saw that I posted this in the wrong section. Not sure how I delete this though :I

Are you referring to scarring of your skin or hyperpigmentation? I've had several chemical peels that helped remove red marks, but were useless as far as all my deep scars. I've started dermarolling which is supposed to be promising long term, but it can take about 11 months to show any results.. so it's a big commitment. I hope this helps :)

Lemon juice. You can also use at-home AHA gel which is a diluted version of a chemical peel. If your skin is well moisturized scars will fade faster as well.
