For as long as I remember I have always had stubble during the times i've had acne. The acne is literally only where I have my little beard (well wouldn't go quite as far as calling it a beard!). The only reason i've not experimented with shaving it off is because is kind of hides the acne, but does anyone know if beard/stubble and using a trimmer is worse for acne? It seems to be a mixed bag of answers on the net.
Is Stubble The Cause Of My Acne?

My experience is that facial hair agravated my skin and thus caused flares of acne. Also keep in mind that facial hair is still hair and is therefore likely to increase sebum on your face.
I don't wet shave, as for me, nothing irritates my face more. I use a beard trimmer with no guard on. So I'm left with a very short stubble. I use it every 2 days and keep it nice and short.
Fortunately I don't suffer with acne anymore but my skin is still easily irritated.
