Hi everyone Posted Image

I've been using the regimen for 5 months and I'm getting really frustrated. It's not doing a thing. All it does is make my breakouts less severe and maybe clear up the pimples a bit faster before I break out again.

I have moderate acne. I'm following the instructions and doing everything "right" otherwise - I'm vegan and gluten free, eat very healthy and mostly organic, take a multivitamin, drink lots of water, exercise regularly, get enough sleep, and I'm usually not stressed.

I'm tired of having my face burn for a half an hour every morning and night, not being able to leave the house when it's sunny out, dealing with all the redness, and paying $50 a month, all for nothing. I'm not seeing results. Years and years ago, I used regimen for several months and my face was 95% clear. I was getting actual compliments on my skin. I stopped using it because it was expensive, and then I broke out like crazy, tried all kinds of other products and natural remedies, and since nothing was working I went back to the regimen. But now it's not working at all. I don't know what could be going on, maybe because the products have been changed? I don't know. This was my last hope Posted Image

I'm not sure why it isn't working.. but why is it costing you 50 dollars a month? It might be cheaper if you use cleanser and moisturizer from the drugstore. I found that after switching, not only was it cheaper, my skin improved. (i use johnsons head to toe baby wash, essentialy the same as purpose and that is very affordable here) Also, for some reason, dan's moisturizer always always burned my face when i used it.

$50 because of the $12+ shipping. If I use the cheaper shipping it takes 2 weeks to get to me. I think I may finally try auto-ship though.

The problem with drugstore brands is that I'm vegan, so I don't use anything that has animal ingredients or is tested on animals. I looked at some stuff at Whole Foods but got really overwhelmed with all the choices lol. I don't know what vegan brands are good.

Thanks for the reply!

try plain oatmeal as a cleanser... it works great and is very gentle. Youtube instructional videos! :) as for moisturizer, coconut oil and aloe are two very good natural moisturizers. Of course, I don't like Benzoil Peroxide at all... I use a homemade green tea toner to substitute.

Thanks Jenn. I washed my face with oatmeal this morning, it felt really nice and helped with some of the redness. Can I ask where you get aloe? I couldn't find 100% aloe gel anywhere.

I went out and got Aubrey Rosa Mosqueta toner, which I've heard good things about, and vitamin E oil to use as a moisturizer. I think I'm going to stay off the regimen for a little bit and see what happens, it's really irritating my skin.

Let's see if we can figure out why you aren't seeing better results. Please take this quiz. http://www.acne.org/regimenadvice.php
Read here: http://www.acne.org/...html#notworking
And here: http://www.acne.org/...stmistakes.html

Hope that helps!
