My doctor made me think of this the other day. He said I might have to go back on Accutane in a couple months because "acne might come back in the colder months." Now he's been pretty stupid throughout the treatment (that's for another discussion,) but does he have a point? Pores are magnified nowadays, and welcome anything that may irritate skin. In the winter, you aren't sweating as much, therefore toxins can't escape as easily. Assuming you take enough vitamin D during the winter, when are you most prone to have acne?

There should be a third option for 'neither' :P
I really don't see any difference in my acne when it comes to the different seasons. I do tend to break out a little on my back during summer but as far as my facial acne goes, which is my only real acne concern, I don't see any change according to the seasons.

To me, my face is redder/irritated during the winter and oily/greasy during summer... Can't really vote haha... But if I had to, it would be summer because I wake up late, go to sleep late, etc

My doctor said the exact same thing! However, I seem to actually break out more during the summer, and have clearer skin during the winter. Weird.

They say that probably because they figure their patients would stop coming back and need business year-round Posted Image
