Hi,
I am a 31-year old woman, with cystic acne. I have had acne for the last 15 years.
After a terrible breakout around my mouth, that is now healed, I am left with big inflamed bumps in the inner side of my mouth I can feel with my tongue. These correspond to the big cysts I used to have back in February, but even though my face is pretty clear, these persist. They do not hurt, but some days are more inflamed than others. From the outside you cannot see them, it's only in the inside.

I have been on antibiotics for 4 months, plus topical treatment and now I only wash my face twice a day with mild soap, nothing else.

Anyone has experienced these? I am doing some trials with Paleo diet, and I would say they have become slightly smaller in the past two days.

Any ideas? Thanks!

I have heard of the problems you are having now, clear face with cystic acne that is beneath the skin. The person had accutane and said that their face was extremely sore with cystic acne. After continuing with the regimen, they managed to get rid of the cystic acne. I would say be persistent and continue with your regimen, it'll go away! Hope this helps

i have had something similar to this but they are not exactly cysts, just pimples that don't hurt and are buried deep under the skin. you can't see them, but you can feel them. and they are not like clogged pores, they are a lot bigger. i just ice them.. there isn't much you can do.. they will go away though.
