How bad is my acne? I'm 20, I currently go to the dermatologist and get injections and just started the regimen. Think it will clear up? anyone had this before?

hi James its hard to tell with the lighting. i can only speak from expirience but i've never had any luck with topicals, accutane was the only thing that worked for me.
it seems that your acne is concentrated under your jaw line? if you don't want to go the accutane route, you need something that treats you from the inside because its more than likely your acne is hormonal, with your testosterone levels increasing your breakouts. you can either do accutane (which would work really well for your type of acne and your age/gender) or perhaps see a chinese doctor that can help balance your levels out with a less invasive approach.

just know that topicals along will probably not cure your acne altogether.

I'm a big believer in accutane. Was on it once before when I was 15, trying to get back on it now.
Anyone else think accutane will clear that right up?How bad does my acne look? pretty severe? they are bumps and cysts that would be much larger if I didn't get them injected but thye keep coming back...

The resolution is kinda grainy and the orange lighting doesn't help, but based on the silhouette of the bumps, its kinda concentrated on the jaw line. Well, for me just my opinion it does not look bad enough. I think it is even good that it is not that scattered. I do think it will clear up and from what it looks like I think it will easily respond to regimens, given that it is strictly followed. Goodluck.

So some of you guys thought my last pictures didn't show my acne well enough... here is a picture from yesterday. How bad is it? Do any of you think it will clear up?

It doesn't look too terrible. But it does look like it requires some serious attention. I think you should see a dermatologist. Also you should ignore the people in the other topic that say your face looks fine... you should've posted this pic in there first. Your neck does look troublesome.

yeah, I just didn't have any pictures at the time that showed the severity. I am seeing a dermatologist and I got accutane but it doesn't sit well with my stomach so I'm seeing if I should still tale it or stop for awhile. Thanks for responding

what type of injections? How long do you wait before you inject your acne? I have had some pimples on shoulders that i want to get injected, but they have been there for 4 weeks. Is it too late?

I had these injections in my face. They are a mix of antibiotics(not sure which) and Cortisone to reduce inflammation. It work for a long time with me. Not very fun to get but it's impressive but it only stops the large ones you have doesn't help for new ones coming in.
