I have been a member of this forum for quite a while but i have been browsing most of the time so here is my first post. I know all the natural treatments to acne like turmeric, manuka honey, aloe vera, tea tree oil, apple cider vinegar and the supplement to take like vitamin b5 and multivitamin, pysillium husk, a probiotic, fish oil, etc and using a natural soap like a dead sea soap or nubian black soap but the problem is forming a daily routine and what exactly to use at what time. I AM USUALLY FIND MY SELF APPLYING THESE PRODUCT IN NO ORDERLY FASHION AND THAT MAY BE A REASON WHY MY ACNE IS NOT GETTING BETER. My acne is moderate to severe and I have alot of acne scars. I also have some cystic acne on my jawline. Can you please be kind enough to post what natural regiment has worked for you to reduce and clear your acne and acne scars? With this i can have an idea to develop my own or possibly use yours. Can you please also suggest a natural moisturizer i could use
Thanks for your help and good luck to all of you who are in the same boat as mePosted Image

Natural moisturizer there are some good ones. Emu oil, jojoba oil, coconut oil, Shea butter. You are on the right track with the natural way though. How do you like the Nubian black soap? I was using it for a few weeks and switched to a different brand that has rose hip oil in it.

A good natural moisturizer is the Oil Control lotion by Desert Essence. https://www.desertes...-control-lotion

I cured my acne through hormonal treatment (spironolactone). For general skincare I find simpler is better. I wash once a day with CeraVe cleanser and moisturize once a day with CeraVe moisturizer. CeraVe is ph balanced, contains ceramides, and is sulfate-free.

Using a 2% salicylic acid leave-on cream overnight helps unclog my skin. Although my zits are gone, I still have a bit of a blackhead problem.

The african black nubian soap makes my skin feels soft, smooth and moisturized but i have not noticed a decrease in new acne forming. I do love the smell though. I have only been using it for a week. What is the other brand you are talking about? thanks

My derm is not helpful at all! He prescribed me antibiotics, retin A, benzoyl peroxide, and something called erythromycin. These product caused my skin to become even worse. Then i started experimenting with natural treatment for acne but my acne has still not cured. My acne is most likely hormonal due to me being a teenager. i am drinking alot of water and trying to eat better.

I'm always fascinated too about what people do to their skin, their routines etc. I'm still trying to work out my 'holy grail' skincare system...it's taking much longer than expected....try close to a decade lol....oh dear.

Some males have used low doses of it. See: https://www.google.c...iw=1142&bih=596

If you take a high dose of natural anti-androgens, it will accomplish the same thing. Natural anti-androgens are generally used for men instead of women. Saw palmetto and stinging nettle. Start out with 600mg a day or higher.

Isnt saw palmetto or others like it bad for a teen like me due to its ability to interfere with the body's use of sex hormones like testosterone and estrogen? Please inform me if I am wrong

Umm, that's the point, most hormonal acne is due to an imbalance of hormones. If you have acne, your androgen activity is most likely too high. Many men take saw palmetto solely for prostate health without acne.

Don't worry about it decreasing your libido or anything, when your hormones are balanced you feel a lot better. I actually found my sex drive went up while on anti-androgens.

Do you guys recommend me to go on Dan regimen as that is a set and ordered regimen which is what I am looking for even though it is not the natural approach. Has anyone tried it and got rid of their moderate to severe acne using it? I will still eat health and drink water ofcourse when I am on it . And I can still apply masks or other natural product while on it. What do u say?

I cleanse with oatmeal, apply dans BP only at night, and moisturize with fresh aloe Vera. I do a daily turmeric mask. This seems to be working. Skin is finally clear. It always good to keep it simple. :)

When I choose to go natural I do a raw organic honey with oatmeal. I always use jojoba oil as a moisturizer.
