Hey everyone.
I've been on Differin 0.3 for about 12 weeks now. I gotta say I am 99% clear. However, I noticed that the Differin made my pores look bigger and the texture of my skin doesn't look horrible, but it isn't great.. My pores were pretty much invisible before I started Differin. I was planning on switching from 0.3 to 0.1. I'm hoping that it'll put some layers of skin back on to make my pores less noticeable. Any suggestions? I'm hoping to start on 0.1 in a couple days, but I want to hear some advice before I do it.

I don't know what advice anyone can give you. It's the same medication, but less potent. If anything, you should be less in need of advice, because you'll most likely have less irritation (if you had any before) and so on and so forth.

I'm not sure it's going to help, though.

Was this your idea or your doctor's? Differin should reduce the pore size not enlarge it. I don't know that a weaker strength is going to make the problem less significant; and you may get acne again, because the .1 is weaker.

If you haven't already, I would advice talking about the problem with the doctor before you adopt any drastic measures.

The last time I visited my dermatologist, I told him my skin was red. So he decided to move down a strength to 0.1 strength. I wasn't going to use it because my skin started to return to it's normal color. However my pores stayed enlarged.
