Hi. I have acne scars (not sure if what they're called but they are NOT the type of scars are are dented into the skin leaving a hole.. I have mild acne and am just about to start my 3rd month in about 3 days, (60mg/day). So far all you're about to see are scars/hyper pigmentation none of this is active. anyway I wanted to know how long it usually takes for these acne scars to fade away and is it possible that hyper-pigmentation/discoloration can be permanent? Again these are not scars dented into my skin, they are all flat..just look are discolored.

I wash my face 2x day and exfoliate 4x week. also moisturize right after washing.

I have no acne on my forehead and very little scarring on my chin.

I found a great remedy for dark red-purple scars, is just to apply lemon juice evenly to your face using a cotton ball. If you have sensative skin add some water with the lemon and just apply it before bed or whatever. I started to see results in about a week. The longer you do it the more even light, natural glow type of skin tone you'll get.
