Well, I've read that using an electric shaver is a big no-no due to irritation and that wet shaving is recommended. I have only every in my 19 years of life wet-shaved and I was extremely irritated and I felt like I was just beheading any whiteheads/pimples in the process. I think maybe I haven't given it enough of a chance, because I feel like it would be much more convenient for me to shave with a razor because the process it much faster. Using an electric shaver becomes so tedious and it takes forever for all of the hairs to be removed so I'm going over and over my face for like 10 minutes.

I just feel like wet shaving would be really aggravating towards my skin and would damage it, but on the flip-side it seem a lot more quicker and convenient.

What do you recommend?

:)

I've gone back and forth on this one, too, for the same reasons you have. Ultimately I just gave up and now go with a short-trimmed beard/stubble.

If you have to clean shave and you have acne, I think that using an electric is probably the way to go. It's not the most convenient, especially if you're doing it every day, but it will cause the least amount of irritation in my experience.
