I have a 17 year old daughter heading to college in 3 weeks. She was on minocycline for about 1 year and went off of it in January because she was concerned. Started breaking out in May, went back on minocycline in June. She has been breaking out severely, and leaving scars. We have tried everything. Right now, she is taking minocycline, 50 mg- once in the morning, twice at night,. Differn .3 every other day, She is also doing otc stuff- acne free with benz. per every morning and night, aveeno moisturizer with spf 30, terminator for spot treatments, and mederma on days she doesn't do diff. Will this combo hurt her? She seems to be breaking out more since starting the diff, and I know this is normal. Should she drop part of the treatment. She cannot see her dermatologist till December, they are so backed up.
