I recently got rid of my moderate to sever acne, and now there are a bunch of ance scars left behind....

What's the best way to treat these scars? They're relatively new and I do my best to avoid sun

I see a few icepicks that are too shallow too treat, one shallow groove-like scar, and some hyperpigmentation.

My recommended course of treatment: time + sunblock.

Once the red spots go away, your skin is going to look much better, believe me.

Is there ANYTHING I can do to speed up the recovery process?

Also would you recommend a facial peel? I have a dermatologist that offers such treatment, would it be beneficial?

Your scarring is minimal. Like others have suggested, protect your skin from the sun and give the hyperpigmentation time to fade. Don't do anything aggressive. It's not worth the risks of damage.

Minimal scarring, as others have suggested, play it conservative.

For hyperpigmentation? After the acne itself has gone away, it takes anywhere from 3-12 months for it to fully disappear. Average time for me, personally, is around 4-5 months. It varies from person to person and depends on age, exposure to sunlight, skin cell turnover, metabolism, etc.

Something that might help are using a BHA or AHA. Paula's Choice makes a good version of both, although the 5% AHA may be better for the PIH.

Something that might also help would be Green Cream or similar retinol product since it forces the skin to peel very quickly.
