I've tried a lot of OTC products without consistent results, I don't feel that my acne is bad enough for medications like Accutane.

I wonder if I'm not giving the products enough time to actually work. I'm thinking of re-trying some of the products I like and to keep notes to see if I can't get a better idea of what happens to my skin with a product.

I can't really speculate with confidence, time periods I've spent on certain products.
So, what is a reasonable time span to give a product a fair chance?

TIA

8-12 weeks unless your skin continues to get worse then its something not pairing with your skin. Note there are initial breakout periods with SOME products.

Interesting. Been seeing 6-12 months a lot here. Or maybe that was just for the Dan products.

I guess I've been giving products as fair chance......and need to keep trying I guess.

The reason is because that is true. If you are on of the lucky few to see good results in under a month then you'll know quickly on whether something is working or not, however most people do have to give about 3 months at least more results can be seen. Granted you should see results before them, but you should always hold out till about the 3-4 month mark to know whether you should continue any regimen!

I hope this help :)
