..would these act in a similar way to probiotics [acidophilus], by way of aiding bacterial 'recovery' and fighting yeast infections/growths left over as a side effect of taking oxytetracycline? (bearing in mind I'm still on the course of antibiotics, so wouldn't want anything to interfere with these..)

They're sooo much cheaper than acidophilus as well, so hopefully the answer is yes!

And, if so - which of these would you choose?

Antifungal
Citricidal
Grapefruit seed extract used for treating candida yeast and thrush infections

Candida
Candida Tablets
A homeopathic medicine for the relief of Candida

Digestive Aids/Probiotics
Wormwood & Barberry plus
attacks candida (previously known as Eradicin forte) [NB: These are the most expensive, by far!!]

Misc. Herbal Remedies
Candidate Mult-Herbal Complex

Thanks. biggrin.gif

Probiotics are completely different from what you have listed. Probiotics will repopulate your body with good bacteria. Antis kill good bacteria and you should really take a probiotic after your done with antis. The best things to treat candida are:

Wild Oil of Oregano
Coconut Oil

you should be taking antifungals and probiotics at the same time. if u just take antifungals and antibacterials u will rid ur body of the good bacteria and be right back where u started. now what would be the point of that?

Many antibacterial and antifungal herbs and the like actually only destroy the bad bacteria. It confuses many scientists because they should destroy the good as well but don't.
