Hello!

So I was just wondering if tetracycline, or any antibiotic for that matter, actually KILLS off most bacteria that leads to acne or just suppresses it so it's lying under the skin and not emerging? I'm thinking of doing cosmetic procedures to get rid of PIH, only last time I did I broke out the worst I ever have (probably purging and I wasn't on any antibiotics at the time) so I am now worried that it'll just bring up all of the spots if antibiotics just suppress them.

Tetracycline actually wipes out bacteria. Some of the other antibioitics, don't remember which ones, just prevent their vital functions so they starve and die off.
