So my derm recommended Ziana for me to use for my current acne and acne scars/red marks. I've had it for quite some time, and every time I use it, it either completely doesn't work or every once in a while it dries up my skin like no other. Usually it doesn't work at all, and I wake up with my skin looking the exact same as it did the night before. Is it just me? I'm so frustrated with trying all these different topical treatments, I'm ready to just stop them and just wash my face with an over the counter cleanser, and that's it. Any advice?

If your acne/scaring isnt too intense, ziana could help you. I was on ziana for 8 weeks and while I did see improvement, it didnt clear me up. I, however, have moderate acne, and i needed something stronger. For someone with mild acne/scaring, ziana could be just enough to get you looking quite nice! Good luck, and remember to stick with it!

Ziana has done absolutely nothing for me. My derm put me on ziana and solodyn (same company makes both and they are rediculously expensive without the discount card) and even the combination of both hasn't helped...Even after 3 months. Much like you, I'm either exactly the same or zitty AND godawful dry I really don't think it works any differently (for me) than over the counter benzoyl peroxide which does the exact same thing.
Next week I am starting accutane because there is nothing left for me to try. I'm terrified.
I don't know how you feel about oral antibiotics or if you have already tried them but I had the best results with Bactrim. Unfortunately it was not a permanent solution for me.
