you know what, i have only been on differin for 3 weeks but i'm already quitting. I have decided to only use it as a spot treatment, and instead going try the healthy routine (supplement, exercise, eating healthy and alot of water)
i don't know if you should quite or not since i haven't got much experience, but you should do what you feel is best for you and your skin, good luck !!

A question:
Do you have REALLY dry skin? The reason that I ask is because you're using a lot of products designed for someone with dry skin. The Cetaphil cleansing bar is for dry skin. You're using a moisturizer twice a day. The Differin CREAM is designed for people with dry skin. Acne is typically associated with oily skin. Now, I know that's not always the case, but you are using A LOT of moisturizing stuff. It can be too much of a good thing. Also, I think it's generally considered a bad idea to use moisturizer with SPF overnight. There's no need for the SPF while you're sleeping and it's just additional chemicals.
The other thing is that there is a much stronger version of Differin available, which is Differin .3% in the US and Differin XP in various other countries. It's three times the strength of Differin .1%. You may want to consider that, or talk with your dermatologist about it.

Differin cream has comedogenic ingredients in it, the gel works better for acne
if you take a look around at cetaphil spf's reviews quite a few people say it broke them out, i know it claims to be non comedogenic but that's not regulated so anyone can write it on their products. I also think if your using a high spf sunscreen you need a good facial cleanser to remove it.
even differin gel alone won't work you need to put together a routine that you know doesn't brake u out, i know easier said then done. couple suggestions
SPF: obaji nu derm spf50 and menscience tio2
moisturizer: proactiv green tea.

I was on differin and I stopped after 3 days because it made my skin worse.
After going to a different dermatologist, I was prescribed with Adaphalene 0.1% and an oral antibiotic (cefadroxil) and my skin looks SO much better.
To get over my differin reaction I moisturized a TON with simple neutrogena sensitive skin moisturizer. And I let my face relax from harsh stuff!
