Hello. I'm in my 6 week with the regimen. At the beginning I was feeling my skin flaky and irritated. In the 3rd week I started to see big changes, I was clearing up amazingly. I was really happy with it. In the 5th week I started to break out a lot on my cheeks, and the flakiness was exaggerated. At this point i increased the BP a little more, but today I'm feeling very irritated, my skin is burning and itching I also notice that is a little swollen.
I was using wipes to take off my make up. I don't know if this affect to the regimen. I was also using in the weekends HD Makeup forever foundation. And I think this was not helping me at all.

I need help with my irritation, I really don't know what to do. I just order the jojova oil and the AHA I don't know if this is gonna help me. I just hope so.

What kind of foundation should I use while in the regimen? What kind of makeup remover should I use? What is the best SPF? Please dont tell me to not use make up. I need it when I go to work. I just cannot go out without it.
Does being a little swollen means that I'm allergic to BP?
I'm desperate!!! I putted all my faith on the regimen, I dont want to add this product to my list of products that didn't work. :(

Hi didi, what your experiencing is perfectly normal once you start upping the BP dose. Unfortunately the skin takes a little while to get used to the high amount of BP that Dan recommends. By week 6 you should be pretty close to using the full dose of BP (two pumps day and night) but if not, thats ok, just slowly keep increasing it. Its not until you have ramped the BP right up will you start getting completely clear (all this said from personal experience).

I was using the full dose by week 4-5 and I too experienced awful burning and itchy skin, along with redness and extremely dry, flaky skin. I also experiences swelling around the eyes, and slight puffiness around my mouth etc. But I was determined to see it through, and by week 11-12, I was perfectly clear, my skin was used to the BP, the AHA+ that I started using around week 5 helped with the flakiness and I havent looked back. I now only apply BP once a day and I still remain clear, with perhaps one small pimple appearing each month (a far cry from a face full of acne that I used to have).

So my advice to you is hang in there, stay consistant, keep upping the dose of BP (within reason) and make moisturiser and jojoba oil your best friend. (I used to apply a layer of moisturiser whenever I needed it during the day. So some days I was applying another layer of moisturiser up to 5 times in a day, before reapplying the evening regimen.)

Goodluck! :0
