i was drinking orange juice and eating eggs while taking the medication? because thats what i usually have for breakfast. and i noticed it said no calcium on the package. at night i have chicken for dinner which has iron i believe and on the label it says no iron so im kind of at a loss of when i can take this drug. would it make it less effective if i still ate those things while on it?

Take minocycline 1 hour before or 2 hours after antacids (including sodium bicarbonate), calcium supplements, and laxatives containing magnesium. Take minocycline 2 hours before or 3 hours after iron preparations and vitamin products that contain iron.

It's fine to have foods containing calcium/iron on minocycline (of course), you just have to wait for a period before/after taking the pill. IIRC calcium is the more worrisome of the two, it can reduce absorption by 50%.
