Hi,
my acne has prettymuch clear up.. i get a few pimples every few weeks, but overall.. my skin is smooth which wasnt the case 2 months ago. so, i am very worried about my PIH (dark spots). i can tell they are pretty severe because since the 2 months started... it reallllly hasnt faded too much.. the dark spots looks deep.. btw a few of them have faded a lot, but i believe those were the shallow PIH.
i have used 2%hydroquinone for 2 months but dont think it helps with old dark marks.. and am using microdermx right now but cant say it helps so far..only on it for 3 weeks.
im just wondering.. will this fade? its pretty severe and very dark and very obvious.. like i said before, its been about 2 months since ive been clear.. and it has been about 4 months since i notice these dark marks (when i started gettin acne)...
just fustrated because if it will fade.. does it really take years?

if all else fades. try v beam for spot treatment. i had it done on hyperpigmentation that wouldnt go away with over the counter products and i really got good results.

You should use fresh aloe vera from the leaf. It works great! I had a lot of PIH and now im basically clear. Or also look into dans AHA+. Ive barely started using it but I do see a difference in my skin being more even.

I've struggled with hyperpigmentation from acne for years. As a result of my internet searches, I've used everything from whitening creams to glycolic acid peels. They all seem to help but with lots of cons and none were as effective as what I've recently discovered on my own. The dark mark is the result of multiple layers of damaged skin cells. So, I've found that by "gently" scratching at the dark scarred surface this helps break down the damaged skin cells. I then apply a warm moist towel over area for several minutes (the longer the better) to promote softening and slothing off of skin cells while also helping to increase circulation. Repeat this process daily and you will find out how effective this is at fading dark marks. For lighter red marks, I recommend only using the warm towel. Ive struggled alot with my confidence due to my skin issues so it is important for me to share this and help others with similar issues.
