Just like to know why everytime I moisturise after putting on the Acne.org BP, whenever I touch my face in any way, these things just come off my face? It really make me self-conscious and I am worried that people can see all of this on my face if I don't try to rub it off.

Why does it happen? Even if I wait hours, it still happens? And no, it is not skin because it happens only after the moisturiser. Also, it does it even more with the AHA!

I wait at least 30 mins after I apply BP to apply moisturiser and this has been occuring for like more than a year! To my knowledge, I am applying the moisturiser right?

Note: this time, I actually used cerave moisturiser and it still does it! This photo is taken after I used cerave but its the same thing. When I use AHA, normal moisturiser or cerave, it does this.

Any help would be great. Thanks all

It looks almost like when you rub something out off a piece of paper with an eraser!

Does this happen to anyone else? Can people try just gentle touching there face about 20 mins after they apply moisturiser or AHA and see if it comes off?

well it happended to me when i first started using CLINDAMYCIN-BENZOYL PEROXIDE (BENZACLIN) TOPICAL GEL. i would put on moisturizer after and the stuff would start peeling off. you just have to wait about 45 minutes after using the benzoyl peroxide to put on the moisturizer. that shouldnt happen anymore if you give it a little time to seep in before using the moisturizer. you may have to wait longer depending on the moisturizer you're using. also make sure you're rubbing it in all the way. i actually rub my clindamycin-benzoyl peroxide in until there is nothing left to rub lol. then i still wait 45 mins to put on the moisturizer and my skin looks great! hope this helps..

Wow Thanks guys guys for the responses! Dan says to just rub it in a bit and let the rest soak in itself. I guess I will have to keep rubbing it in until its dry and soaked in.

I'll give an update next week how I go with this. I really did feel I Was rubbing it in sufficiently though

This definitely happens to me when I apply AHA+ but I only apply that at night so it doesnt really matter when all I'm doing is going to bed. I've had it happen now and again with the moisuriser, especially under my jaw but it doesnt happen all the time. I've not noticed a pattern as to when it happens some days and not others.

I mainly rub my moisturiser in fully, I don't rub it in for 3 mins and let the rest soak in so maybe that helps - as Ilovesomevanity suggested.

Thanks AyeAye,

Yeh it is realllllly bad for when I use the AHA more so than the normal moisturiser. But maybe its my skin that doesn't absorb it properly. The main problems areas are too my jaw and and facial hair area (since I am man) and it looks really bad. Hmmm

The same happens to me as well after applying AHA+. I just make it a point to avoid rubbing/scratching my face after applying AHA+. I only use AHA+ at night so it's not that big of deal. And it seriously makes no difference how I apply the AHA+, whether I wait an hour after applying BP or apply the AHA+ in a super gentle and thorough manner, it will always ball up on my skin if I scratch my face.

Thanks Rush25, does it happen with normal moisturisers as well and if not, which moisturiser do you use? I need to find a moisturiser that doesn't do this. Very unfortunate that Cerave does it since it moisturisers so good..

Nope, it does not happen to me with my normal moisturizer. I've used CeraVe cleanser and moisturizer, and both products were far too moisturizing for me, so I'm not sure that the products I use will be sufficient for dry skin. I'm using either Neutrogena Healthy Skin Enhancer (it's actually a tinted moisturizer) or Paula's Choice Skin Balancing Daily Mattifying Lotion SPF 15. I always keep some Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion on hand just in case my skin gets dry for some strange reason.

This absolutely happened to me and was the main reason I stopped the regimen. That and infamous lobster face.

This happens when I don't massage it gently into my skin long enough.

that happens to me too. I always thought it was excess skin coming off O_O maybe I wasn't waiting long enough after putting on the BP to apply moisturizer. but I can't help it because my face gets so dry :(

Fihe,

I do not think it has to do with not waiting long enough. As long as you feel that BP is dry (roughly 25 minutes after application, it is fine to do then apply moisturiser). I just can't find any moisturiser to use atm. If I use the normal moisturiser, it leaves my face and shiny and it does this. Cerave leaves white residue and patches.

Sigh...

I'm not sure about the effect of misturizer on you but if I were you, I'll be going to the dermatologist immediately and ask them if this moisturizer that you're using is ok to use. Your skin might be sensitive that you have to use mild moisturizers. This one might not match your skin type. Consult your derma just to be sure.
