Now that my constipation has resolved is my skin not supposed to improve? It does not make sense. Help, please.

White Fox, my skin is doing very poorly at the moment (understatement of the century), probably the worst it has ever been. Have been regular this last week after drinking milled flax seed with my kefir every morning. Still also taking probiotics. Is this worsening part of the process, should I just sit it through and hope for the best?

Lilo I'm on anti-inflammatory paleo diet again, but today is the second day of my diet. After 2 days I'm 90% clean lol... 2 days, I don't know what's going on. I'm eating fish, smoked fish, grilled fish, cooked fish, vegetables and only bananas. That's all
but you know I'm taking all supplements to heal my guts. L-glutamine, Colostrum, Lactoferrin, Multivitamin and what will happen after a month.
Heal your gut
and don't drink dairy kefir

One week won't make any difference at all. Inflammation, acne formation etc. takes a long time. You can waste your time forever trying a treatment for a couple of weeks and then jump onto something new. Give something you believe in a long time or you'll never get better. As I said earlier, it's a reason most people only improve on accutane after 4--6 months.
In my opinion drinking mlled flax seeds is one of the worst things you can do as they are very hard on the digestive system. Offcouse they are going to make you more regular, they contain A LOT of fiber.
Stick to meat, fish, fowl, eggs, vegetables, olive oil, coconut oil etc. and A LOT of probiotics and prebiotics.
If you're not going to give the treatment time you should actually find something else and come back when you're really dedicated. Because if you get tired after 1 month you have just wasted that time.
Good luck Lilo, and I know how shitty and frustrating acne can be. Look at the long term is my only recommandation, visualize it!Lilo I'm on anti-inflammatory paleo diet again, but today is the second day of my diet. Remember that there will be ups and downs you have to get thorugh even though you feel you have gotten better on day 2.
Your diet is great, a lot of meat and fish, bananas is the only thing some people have issues with. Those supplements are also okay(I've previously used some of them), but I hope you also have fermented foods, quality probiotics, prebiotics etc. in your diet as they will speed up your healing.
Colostrum can cause issues for some people as it contain certain hormones.
Dairy kefir is actually a good product for most people. Lactose, IGF-1 etc. are reduced during fermentation.
Hope you don't mind that I chime in with my two cents:-)
Thanks, I have no intention of giving up. Giving up and doing what? That will bring me no closer to finding a solution. Just did not realise that regularity will worsen my acne. I had severe constipation on normal Paleo, flax is the only thing that helped. Maybe I should just try drinking Mg citrate again? Or soak the flax prior to as suggested by deja? Or probiotics overdose?
Glad for you, Bartek, had to laugh at the various cooking methods you have for fish, haha, as opposed to eating this food and that food. I'm having trouble with fish and veg, not very, shall I say, appetizing.
So, I'm assuming kefir is OK then, it was mentioned on gutflora.
Also struggling with insomnia for past 2 nights, maybe all this is part of herxmeier?

I cannot stomach ANY probiotics. 1 cup of yogurt will ruin me for days. I've tried this experiment many many times. Kefir, Kombucha, yohurt, expensive probiotics, homemade saurkraut, and fermented pickles.
The last time I tried it, I had about 2 cups of yogurt and had BAD stomach problems accompanied with a metallic taste in my mouth for almost 2 weeks.

So I guess I would like to ask if theres any way I can get good flora without these measures. I AM growing herbs/spices and vegetable garden I can consume these unwashed
although i dont see how thats much different than just eating dirt

a lot of people cant actually digest dairy, even if they think they can, 60% of people can't, and doctors usually refer to non-infants that can digest it as abnormal

Anyone know whether if gluten allergies are displayed through blood food intolerance test?
I just got my results saying I am not intolerant or allergic to anything. Very funny.... I guess I really am not, although I know that eggs give me hard digestion and once I had this terrible reaction to a certain unknown food.
Anyways, drinking a Smoothie from Spinach, Brocollis, Carrots, 1 Apple and blended with Kefir is like the beast most nutrient dense drink I make for myself. If I drink that and avoid much sugar, I can stay acne-free for as long as I want. I currently am too.
But if I eat Pizza, or junk food I'll get one a day after.

if you soak/sprout and then grind the flaxseeds into a gooey liquid, they won't be hard on the digestive system at all. In fact, they will actually soothe and heal a broken gut. But I agree, flax is no good unsoaked.

why is meat anti-inflammatory? i would argue the opposite based on how acidic it is and how long it takes to digest

I have tried Garden of life probiotic, the specific probiotic that GAPS recommends(along with trying the GAPS diet for 2 weeks.) and a few others. Everytime I tried it i lost my appetite and became violently ill with 6-7/10 stomach pains and constant gas. It was too miserable, total nightmare. Any other ways to correct this problem?

the reaction is to probiotics. I am able to eat icecream. same reaction with oral probiotic pills
I disagree. Processed, nitrate filled meat is not good.
Meat(preferably organic) is great for most people when helping acne and their digestive system. Most people manage to digest meat very well even with a damaged gut flora.
Quality meat is not inflammatory. Look at research from Dr. Art Ayers, Dr. Loren Cordain, Petro Dobromylskyj and many more. Our ancestors ate a lot of animal products, do you really think they were under constant inflammation?

If it helped, I would be open to continuing it like you said, but also be open to experimenting without it. Something else that is important about flax is that it can mess with your hormones, the same way soy or certain other foods can. This won't necessarily worsen your situation, it probably depends on what is happening with your hormones in the first place. But I've been experimenting these past few months, seeing how things effect my monthly cycles. Last month I loaded up on flax all month, and this month i did no flax at all. There have been some noticeable changes in my body's behavior during PMS....
I wouldn't recommend a probiotics overdose, that's for sure.the reaction is to probiotics. I am able to eat icecream. same reaction with oral probiotic pills
Same here. This probably means that you have leaky gut like I do. I'd still take in probiotics, just slow. Really slow. A spoonful of something fermented every few days, if that's what you need to do. I recommend kimchi, it's the best fermented food I've found and I've never had a bad reaction to it yet. (google kimchi if you don't know what it is)I disagree. Processed, nitrate filled meat is not good.

I agree with you, I've actually read that grass fed beef is anti inflammatory because of the good fats and what not. I know it has a lot of CLA's, which is a healthy kind of fat. http://www.eatwild.com/cla.html
Even if some meat is inflammatory, it's okay to eat some inflammatory/acidic foods. We (at least, I do) need heavier foods for the dense nutrients they provide. The key is eating them in balance with the alkalinizing foods. As in, a huge plate of salad and vegetables with a small serving of meat, not the other way around.
Gah... I've been on this board for years and years and I still don't know how to quote multiple people in a way it shows their names... lol sorry
