Hi all!

I have just bought the basic regimen but because of my extremley uncomfortable, dry skin I was thinking about buying the AHA or Jojoba oil (or both).

I was just looking for some opinions on these products and whether they help with dry skin, flakiness, itching and tightness- and to what degree?

I realise there are reviews and other topics regarding similar questions but I'm very desperate for direct answers and a solution to the state of my skin..

Thank you!

The best thing to do might be to have a look at the reviews for the two and compare the pros and cons.
Here's a page of reviews for AHA: http://www.acne.org/.../650/page1.html
Here are a couple of pages of reviews for Jojoba Oil: http://www.acne.org/.../635/page1.html and http://www.acne.org/.../156/page1.html

I can't comment on AHA as I've never used it, but I use Jojoba Oil and I'm very impressed with it. I initially used it as part of my cleansing routine. I was occasionally using Manuka honey as a cleanser and I'd add a few drops of Jojoba if my skin happened to be a little dry. Then when I wasn't using Manuka, I found I could apply the Jojoba to my face and then rinse it away after a minute or two and the slight residue left behind would keep my skin from getting dry. My skin used to feel really tight after washing and that would be visible in dryness sometimes, but it's rare that happens now. I'm also prone to eczema and if I feel those problem areas stating to get dry, a few daily applications of Jojoba is enough to keep it at bay, stop my skin feeling tight and stop the itching. It's doesn't clog the pores which is a huge bonus and it goes very far so even a small bottle seems to last ages.

I'd probably just add jojoba oil for now. While I absolutely adore AHA+, I do experience a slight but noticeable stinging and itching sensation immediately after applying AHA+ (I use it at night in place of moisturizer). It's definitely not irritating enough for me to discontinue AHA+, but I'd be weary that adding AHA+ to dry, itchy skin might cause further irritation.

This was the same for me! I stayed on the basic regimen (cleanser, bp, and moisturizer) and after a month I started using AHA+ as my nightly moisturizer, and it has been my skins bestfriend. Try getting your skin used to the benzoyl peroxide before using AHA+. And just like rush25 said jojoba oil is the way to go for now :D
