For the most part my current regimen is doing a pretty good job in preventing stubborn breakouts. A couple a weeks ago, I decided to add AHA face cream (Walgreens AHA 8% cream to my regimen) to it because it had great reviews. I'm applying it once a night after applying my BP cream.

The problem is that now I'm starting to get some mild breakouts b/c of the AHA. Should I continue to use the cream hoping the breakouts will stop? Or are the benifits of AHA cream just not worth the breakouts?

Please help :(

FYI my regiment is:

Morning:
1Clean and Clear Foaming Facial Cleanser(triclosan )
2.Toner
3.Acne.org BP

Night:
Same Thing as morning.
Last 2 weeks using AHA after BP

Hey,

The aha could be clearing some of your acne i,e bringing it to the surface or the irritation from using aha is causing you mild breakouts.

The best thing is to try listen to you skin.

Maybe try it a few times a week and if its okay increase it to the every other day etc.

Yeah, that is probably a good idea.
Thanks for replying!

Anybody else have issues with AHA?

you probably don't need a toner

also, are you moisturising afterwards?

i always give anything at least 28 days to see what results are as the (female) body tends to work in a 28 day cycle

No, I don't moisturise. When I was in high school I would and it resulted in me breaking out. Since then I've really scared to try it again. Not to go off topic, but any reccomendations for moisturisers?

As far as the toner is concerned, my face seems to prefer it. I notice that i get more breakouts when I take it out of my regimen for a long period of time.
