I had a cyst on my chin which I decided to pop on Sunday night with a sterilized needle (it was so big and painful, I had to :(). Since then, it scabbed over pretty nicely and looked like it was healing. I went to sleep last night with some pure aloe vera gel on it and some antiseptic cream. Today I woke up and half the scab peeled off. But to my horror, it was still raised underneath. The skin was closed and pink, but definitely still a raised bump :(

The other half of the scab is still covering the cyst. I have a party to go to on Sunday and I'm absolutely dreading turning up with a huge cyst on my chin :( I've been taking ibuprofen and dabbing apple cider vinegar onto the cyst to try and make it reduce. I'm visiting my doctor tomorrow for another reason, is there anything he could give me to help reduce the size of the cyst before Sunday? Antibiotics perhaps or something similar?

Please help, I feel so upset by this :(

A Dr will be able to give you something for acne, like anti-biotics, but nothing works immediately. It sounds to me like it's probably just swelling from being pocked around (in my personal experience thats half of what my cysts are anyway). I would recommend continuing the ibruprofen for the swelling and icing the cyst.
To be honest, cysts are horrible and theres not much you can do about them so I totally feel your pain! But on the bright side if it is just swelling the cyst probably isnt about to pop up again!

If you are in the UK and get cysts often I would talk to your Dr about it now. I found the NHS to be very slow in referring me to a derm. So if your acne gets much worse don't think you can just 'pop to the derm' like a lot of the Americans on this boards can! (Unless of course you can afford to go private). I feel like it would have been worth starting off the process early, since you dont have to take it that far, but then you'd have the option to do that later if things changed.

Good luck! Try not to stress too much I'm sure it doesnt look as bad as you think!

Yeah I guess you're right :( The other half of the scab peeled off now, apart from the very centre of it, and it's definitely still a raised bump :( just holding ice against it at the minute and taking ibuprofen. I feel so embarrassed seeing the doctor and going out in public with this huge lump on my face, urgh.
Yeah I've never asked for a derm referral but I've heard it take so long to get an appointment! I'm going to see if I can try out some antibiotics/topicals first as the only thing I've tried previously is birth control. Thanks for the help :)

No problem :)
I hear you on being self conscious about it all! I wont even answer the door to the postman without make up on. I also went to all my drs appts and the Derm with photos cus I wouldnt take it off! I had a 3 month wait for the derm, but in my area they had hoops to jump through before that, 2 failed topicals and 2 antibiotics (3 months on each), thats a year worth of other treatment first! Such a drag. You may as well start you know, even if you don't want to see a derm.
