My Doctor used this example a lot, with the fact that it has a few side effects, but at the end of the day it helps millions of people.

Anyway, I am not going to tell my whole life story like I usually would in this type of thread, I am just keeping it short and sweet. Nothing has ever worked, trying Accutane, excited, etc. etc. My doctor recommended a green tea cleanser, if anyone knows whether or not I should use a moisturizer on top of that or if the green tea will be enough, please tell me. I will start the treatment tomorrow and I will be posting pictures weekly. Thanks a lot for the support, I am really excited to see results and go into my senior year acne free.

Hey mate good luck with your accutane course. I am just using a normal cleanser and moisturiser, so unfortunately I can't comment on your question in relation to green tea cleanser and moisturiser. I am only a couple of days ahead of you.

Thanks Man, I am just going to use the cleanser for now since the green tea should moisturize.......Good luck to you too!

Here are pictures of Week one. Don't laugh at the facial hair...I am a novice and it is a work in progress...lmfao. Ok, but I am noticing a little bit of an initial breakout, not much just a few small whiteheads here and there that seem to go away after a day. I have been taking the pill since Tuesday night now. No side effects yet. Acne probably doesn't look as inflamed as others on Accutane which I am thankful for but I do break out often and my Dermatologist recommended it so we shall see what happens.

So its around day 5, and the initial breakout is continuing, and I am beginning to notice the dryness. My scalp is beginning to get dry, as well as my face and lips. I am also noticing a three or four larger pimples on my face, as well as some small ones on my forehead. I think I am going to begin using Cetaphil on top of the green tea cleanser if the dryness persists. I am really hoping to begin noticing results by the middle of July, as I am going on vacation then as well as a few day trips. Not only does the acne have to stop, but a majority of my face is also covered in red marks, which will hopefully go away eventually with time.

Week 2:

Spoiler

Still breaking out a bit. I am starting to eat healthy again today. Going to cut out all of the fatty artificial foods I have been eating. Hopefully by next week the pictures will improve. Again, a lot of it is red marks and scars but there are some new pimples.

Bunch of side effects just hit me at once. My lips are dry, eyes are very dry, around my lips and nose are dry, and my scalp is dry and I am getting some flaking. Kinda annoying but I can live with it. Only think that bothers me is the dry eyes. Any suggestions? I wear contacts and I am currently using drops for itching but they are not lasting for very long. Thanks.

Hey man about your eyes, do you use artificial tears? If it gets too bad, you could try wearing glasses maybe. Reason I say maybe is because I can't relate to any problems associated with wearing glasses, so I'm not going to say it's as simple as that.
As for the scalp problem, couple of the young women on here have commented on something that works really well. Though for the life of me I can't remember what it was. After I finish my last uni essay, tomorrow afternoon, I'll browse through the logs and try to find it for you.

Hey man,

Keep your head up man that initial break out shuold be done soon and you'l begin clearing fast as your skin dries up a bit.

I'm also starting to run into trouble with my contacts as well from the dryness. I used to use eye drops for contacts back when I played Ice hockey everyday to help while wearing the contacts. I'm going to start using those again, and I'l let you know how they work. I forget the name of them, so I'll have to get back to ya on that one.

As for the hair, my head was getting super itchy around week 2 so I switched to Classic Head and Shoulders shampoo and haven't had any problems since. Could be worth a shot...

Thanks man.

Week 4:
Another breakout. I have been picking a lot which has kinda turned into a habit. I am trying my hardest to stop doing that...On the positive side, this is probably a low point, I think it will just get better from here...My eyes are extremely dry though, even without the contacts. It seems like the artificial tears don't even help.

So I just inspected my face closely and I just realised...almost all of my blackheads are gone! I probably had well over 50 on my nose and I now have 5 or 6...it's amazing! I'm glad there are some positives coming out of the product early on to keep me positive.

Starting back up on a diet, not only for acne but for my weight as well. I was a solid 160 which I was happy with when I began school last year and I slowly crept my way up to 176. I am going to eat mainly chicken, veggies (celery, carrots, broccili, spinach) all raw, fruits and a lot of water. Probably going to go for 8 calories per pound. Not really a lot of food but I really want to get this weight off. Should help my acne aswell, since I will be drinking green smoothies and a lot of green tea, as well as veggies and water and whatnot.

Week 9:
So it's been short of a month since I posted pictures, and wow. I did not realize how much my acne changed over a month for the better. Also, my weight is down to 170, although I have halted the weight loss for a while since I went on vacation two weeks ago. Here are some pictures.
