I started using tazorac on Thursday. So it's been 4 days. I put it on at night after I take a shower. In the shower I wash my face with sulfer sulfeticide or however you spell it. They seem to be working just in these 4 days but I still have red marks from previous acne, will tazorac make me completely clear and get rid of the red mark and scars and how long?

Everyone is different. You have to give your regimen at least 3-4 months before deciding if it is working for you. Some tips to remember:
only a pea sized amount
put only on dry skin (wait at least 30 mins after washing)
start low and slow - you may want to only use once every 3 days for the first couple of weeks as irritation from daily use tends to come on suddenly
prepare for breakouts. Very few people have linear journeys with topicals.
Good Luck!

Not sure what to say. All i know is that for the first few days you MAY feel fine and then suddenly BAM.....side effects central. But then again you may not get that. I always say its better to be safe than sorry

You should also probably try a light moisturizer right after the shower. Wait 20 minutes, and then apply tazorac. That's what it says on the website. Retinoids are more powerful than they seem. sasch12 is very correct about the "BAM!". You need to prevent irritation as much as possible. In fact, irritation with tazorac is determined to be the cause of the initial breakout many people experience.
