Hello everyone,

Most people that win the battle with acne leave the site without posting anything about their success.

I would like to make a difference and reveal what helped me.

I've been clear for almost one year now. It took a while for me to believe that I actually am clean and can normally live my life.

I live in Toronto, Ontario and am 25 years old.

In August 2011, I went to a walk-in clinic to see a dermatologist. She prescribed me Retin-A 0.1%, Tazorac, and Benzaclin. I was very sceptical about these topical creams but nonetheless purchased them. I've been using Retin-A and Tazorac intermittently every night and Benzaclin every morning. I apply very very little, but these creams worked wonders for me.

I also have a very healthy lifestyle. I cook for myself everyday and eat everything including, white meats, red meats, fish, pasta, bread, fruits and veggies. I cook and prepare salads with cold pressed olive and sunflower oils. I buy strictly organic meats, eggs, milk, and only some of the fruits and veggies. The rest of my food is regular. The food won't give you acne. The only exception may be eggs, cheese, milk, and sweet treats. But do not exclude yogurt. You do need some probiotic and calcium. I do not take any supplements except fish or flaxseed oil which I add in smoothies. I don't believe supplements are good for our health.

I work out 6 days per week. 3 days I go running (very fast pace for 20min) and do weights. 3 days I ago swimming and work out my back and abs. These I do intermittently.

I wash my hair with Andalou age defying shampoo and conditioner, wash my face with Andalou meyer lemon cleanser, and wash my body with a simple Kiss my Face olive oil soap bar.

I am hoping that this info can help someone. Even it if helps only one person, I will be happy to have made a difference in that person's life.

When acne was gone, I was reborn. I got so motivated, I finished at the top of my class in university. As well, I am in the best shape ever. I got a girlfriend whom I am planning to marry in a year. Life is as good as has never been for me.

I feel alive.

Regarding my acne history, I developed moderate acne at age 20 when I moved to Canada. I never had cystic acne.

I had tried every possible avenue to stop my acne but miserably failed at every turn. At last, a wonder occurred.

Sometimes, you just gotta have faith. Don't give up!

I'm on the same regimen now. Developed my acne at age 23 after switching types of birth control. How long did it take before you saw consistently positive results?
