Has anyone had any luck using gel from the Aloe Vera plant on your face, or wherever you have acne?

I know it's good for burns, and have heard it helps heal open wounds (which is fairly obvious if it's good for burns), just last night I put a dab on a few scars I have - I didn't wanna put it all over in case I had a reaction or something. I plan on doing this every night, or try to.

If anything I hope it helps me heal up faster.

Yeah, it helps, I would suggest doing this at night time.

Aloe is helpful with healing, you using store bought? I cut fresh leaf from my yard and apply, may smell funny depending on species variety, but it is very nourishing stuff.

Been using it for awhile now leaving it on alll nighit by rubbing the gel on my acne and it really has helped with old scars Wich fade and shrink and my skin tone used to be really bad and uneven and it has also helped with that.

Does it help with active pimples and does it help with preventing new ones? Or does it just fade away old ones?

I've been using it since this posted, so a bit over a week and I have noticed a difference. I will continued to use it, nightly. I wash my face with cetaphil and using witchhazel and then apply the aloe (from a fresh plant we have). It's very soothing and I think it smells nice, it smells like a plant but just a calming smell.

My marks are fading faster, I had a couple active pimples and they went away quickly as well. I hope I have found something that will stick!

Ok. I take back what I said about the smell. I cut a new leaf today and it smelled god awful and I almost threw up. I guess I got lucky with the 1st one I cut cos it didn't smell at all and the one today is disgusting. I threw it in the garage and now I don't know what to do! haha
