I haven't seen this covered in one place before and thought it would be helpful for us just starting out to know what others have gone through. So, how far into treatment did you get your initial breakout? And, how long did it last?

Got it pretty much instantaneously. Lasted 2 weeks. On my medication advice slip it keeps saying how initial acne flare-ups are 'very rare'. Not from what I hear over this site they're not!

I'm having somewhat of a breakout now, around about two weeks in to my course. It's calming down quite considerably though.

I got the IB 3 days into my treatment, and it lasted about 3 weeks.

I never got one either. I was prescribed a month of antibiotics before my course to keep the IB at bay, so that must be the reason. That or I'm just lucky

I only started my course a week ago (20mg/day) and literally within a couple of days large angry cysts erupted around my cheeks and jawline, including a 2cm triple cyst on my chin (probably the biggest i've ever had). I'm just praying that it won't last too long!

I had an initial breakout probably around the end of my first month. I got some ginormous whiteheads (painful too) but they went away pretty quickly! Since then, I've barely had any, and the ones that I have had were just very tiny, under the skin and barely noticeable.

I got my initial breakout around the 2nd week and it lasted for a month+. It was TERRIBLE!

I wanted to add I did topical and anti biotics a month prior and one week in as well to help keep IB under control and obviously it worked! However now into month three and feel like Im exp IB on my back. way more acne on my back that prior to being on tane

hey guys,

I got my initial breakout on the 2nd-3rd day of treatment and now I'm on day 9 and I went from 25-30 pimples to about 10-15 and their all flat red marks. Looking ALOT better, but the breakout only lasted about 3-4 days because it looked bad until a few days ago. I'm also on 70mg/a day, do you guys think I'll break out again? Thanks!

I got mine around day 4 or 5, and it lasted about a month. I think I'm on day 55 and I still occasionally get a zit here and there, but for the most part it's clearing up pretty well.

I got mine Sunday night which was almost 2 weeks in for me. Luckily it is already clearing up!

Pretty much straight away, but I've only been on the drug for 11 days and I'm still on my initial breakout at the moment.
