Hey Guys!
Today marks the end of month 4 of my accutane journey, just opened the penultimate box with such relief!!
So my journey so far is summarised as follows:
I had the worst IB imaginable for the whole of Month 1.
I started to see gradual improvements mid way through Month 2.
By the end Month 3 there was no visible active acne on my face, but the trauma the IB caused could clearly be seen.
Month 4;
When I touch my face, its feels completely smooth. However, the red marks and scarring is still intense. These were all the result of the severe Initial Breakout (IB) that I had for my first 6/7 weeks...
I spoke to my dermo about this and he said that the red marks and red skin tone will not go until after I stop taking the Accutane- so just gotta live with it for now I suppose!
Side Effects:
Dry skin on my face, VERY dry eyes, runny nose. None other to note really
I use Cereve lotion which helps with the dry skin, E45 lotion on my body, eye drops from the pharma for dry eyes and intend to start drinking my 2litres of water again (I believe this helped me loads the previous 3 months, in terms of dryness and energy levels)
Overall, I already feel like this drug has given me my life back! and its not perfect right now, far from but now I go from day to day knowing it will all be over soon!!
Feel free to message me any questions guys! More than happy to talk to any of you!

Hi,
happy to see that accutane has been working for you. I was wondering if you experienced sweating through your face while on it? its never happened to me before I went on the drug and now i sweat =/ even in cold temperature

Hello simplicita
No can't say that I have experienced that side effect, but it's worth mentioning it to your dermo... The good thing about this is that they say that most of the side effects you experience whilst on the drug will go away after you stop, so hopefully it's just a matter of putting up with them for a few months
