I just wanted to ask you guys if it's normal to have breakouts in the first 3days. I dont have that much pimples. Before using Dan's regimen, my face had 2 - 3 pimples but have a lot of scars. I started using Dan's regimen last monday (May 13), and I experienced too much itchiness, flakiness (on the 2nd and 3rd day) and redness on my face. On the 2nd day, yellowish white pimples bursted on my cheeks. and on my 3rd day which is today, more pimples grew on my cheeks.

Im literally crying right now while I'm telling my story to you guys.

Actually now, my family's been telling me that my face looks very dark, and little pimples on my face and It's really disgusting and I have never experienced this much pimples on my face. ONLY NOW. thats why im freaking out whether ..

Should I still continue? Or stop for awhile?

I feel like, what the Benzoyl Peroxide is doing to my skin is that, it's letting out all the pimples that havent appeared yet on my skin.

Here's my picture now. (sorry i dont have before and after but as ive said, i dont have that much pimple, only scars)

I have heard and idk if its true but most people get worst before they get better. I am no expert but if I was you give it at least another week it all takes time.

no problem I understand this process is so stressfull!! and sometimes frustrating. but just don't think about it just go day by day hoping for the best. less stress=less breakout for sure!

I experienced exactly what you are going through right now. My skin literally exploded with acne during my second week of following the regimen, and it was red, irritated and raw and very very painful. Even to the point where my mum who popped in to see me one day on the weekend told me to stop whatever I was doing because I looked awful and could it possibly be safe/good etc.

I didnt stop though, and stuck with it through a further painful and frustrating 2 more weeks and then it all started getting better. My skin got used to the BP, my dreadful break out started drying up and far few acne lesions were coming up. After 3 months or so of strictly following the regimen my skin was 100% clear for the first time in 20 years.

So my conclusion of the 'worse than ever breakout' was that all the 100's of new pimples that appeared in my second week of the regimen was basically all the little tiny bumps that were under my skin coming up to the surface. I had never considered them to be acne in the past but it wasnt until they all healed that I realised how bumpy my skin had been previously, because now when i'm putting on moisturiser, my skin is perfectly (and I mean perfectly) smooth rather than bumpy.

The early weeks (first couple of months) of following the regimen are hell. There is no getting around it. You will get dry, flaky, itchy skin. You will get sore red puffy eyes. You will get dreadful breakouts. You will get resentful of the time it takes to follow. But if you stick it out it does get better, and believe me, having acne free skin is worth all the intial pain in the end.

Good luck! :)

OMG! I totally get your point and thank you so much! Now i understand why the pimples bursted on my face during the 2nd and 3rd day. It's my 7th day today and I have no pimples, only redness and flakiness. deadskin are starting to fall off. Although my skin is not even now, but it is WAYYY better than the 1st 3 days of the regimen. First week is really a pain in the ass but hopefully and I know it will get better as most of you guys have said to me. Thank you so much for the encouragement ayeaye! It means alot to me. I experienced a very bad breakout as well.
I URGE you to get jojoba oil. Your face will feel sooooo much better.
Just mix a5-6 drops in with Dan's moisturizer and gently rub it in. It is very oily, but it will soak in. I promise it will help your face from burning as much.

Stick with it, okay? you can do it. The first few weeks are the hardest.

i think thats the indication that the the regimen is working and the meds is absorbed through the skin thus leaving impurities away
