I do about medium coverage - I use bb cream and then I go over spots with dermablend cream.

My roommate goes the entire nine yards though and she does a fantastic job.

well, on a daily basis i do medium coverage. i feel uncomfortable being under fluorescent lighting @ wrk without that type of coverage. when i go wrk out i would say i have light coverage, or no coverage @ all. i know that i could possibly b judged harshly by people who see me outside of foundation, but to be honest, that makes no difference to me. i've said this before, but i don't feel guilty for wanting normal looking skin. i DEFINITELY have felt guilty in the past. i used to hate buying makeup to cover acne, and acne-fighting skincare. i used to b so embarrassed. but life is so short to not wear foundation to please others who consider you fake or whatever. my skin is still an insecurity, and i understand that people can view me as deceiving, but that's ok. i accept that, and i'm fine with that. everyone reacts to their acne differently. some choose to cover it as much as they wnt to, and some choose to go bare faced. i don't see anything wrong with either way.
natural is beautiful. but glamour is fun.

It really depends on the day, if my acne is horrendous, I just cover it up till I forget it is there haha. Sometimes I'd much rather be seen as someone who wears too much make-up, than someone who has acne.

When I had bad acne I went for full coverage. I wanted to do everything I could to hide the red marks and blemishes. I did that for a while....it just became routine makeup process. Once my face had cleared up a lot, I used less makeup.

This is exactly how I feel/think, too.

for someone who wants a good coverage...i've realized using a small amount of liquid foundation, and setting it with a powder foundation appears less heavy than using a lot of liquid. unfortunately, lighting can b really deceiving, and make you think you don't look cakey when you do in natural light.

I pretty much go all out...

After wiping my face down w/Stridex pads, I moisturize, and let it sit. Then I apply primer/BB cream, concealer, liquid foundation (Revlon Colorstay for Combination/Oily skin) and translucent powder. And if I want some extra coverage after that, I'll dab on a bit more concealer on my problem areas.

It may sound like a lot, but it actually looks pretty natural (not 100%, but it doesn't look caked on or anything like that).

I also like my skin to show through, so I've been using TM with concealer. The Retin-A I'm on makes my skin look really flaky, and even a little makeup just amplifies that.
Prescription:
Spironolactone 50mg, 2x/day
Doxycycline 100mg, 2xday
Retin-A Micro 0.04% nightly

OTC:
Candex, two pills 2x a day
Vitamin Shoppe Probiotic, two pills 2x/day

Regimen morning & night:
Wash with Nubian African Black Soap
Moisturize with Cerave AM in morning, Cerave cream at night
Apply Bio-Oil to noise/cheeks/chin AM before CeraVe
Apply Retin-A Micro (nightly)

I used to use so much makeup that It's actually embarrassing to think about it now. Once my skin got better, I've been using much less. I try to cover about 80% of it, I'd say. Enough that I feel comfortable, but not so much that people think I have perfect skin. It's not worth it just because it's pretty obvious all that make up is there if you have cysts (you can cover the color, but the bumps are still there). I've also been using less makeup ever since I started to use Colorstay (about 5 months ago) since it covers so well and doesn't make me oily. I use a bit of that with some powder and then set everything with the ELF HD Powder which is amazing for long-wear. I sometimes use concealer, depends on the day, I just haven't found a good one w/out parabens.
