Hello,

So I've had mild rosacea for several years now and I guess I've just always put up with it. It only seems to flare up after certain things such as red wine, spicy food, etc. The problem is I love red wine, spicy food, etc. My cheeks get pretty red, but will calm down within a matter of a couple of hours. On to the questions... I was recently at Walgreens and saw Eucerin Redness Relief Soothing Night Creme and decided to try it. As always I tried not to get any near my eyes, but the next morning I woke up with red swollen puffy eyes. I clearly had some sort of allergic reaction to something in the creme as I had not used anything else new that night. I have already tossed it out and will never use the product again, but I was wondering if anyone here would know of any ingredient commonly found in rosacea/redness relief cremes that could cause something like this so that I could avoid it in the future.

I know this is a very difficult question to answer with the limited information you have, but I figured I'd take a shot.

Thanks in advance for any help.

The ingredients in the creme are...

Water, Glycerin, Panthenol, Capric/Caprylic Triglycerides, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Octyldodecanol, C12 15 Alkyl Benzoate, Dimethicone, Squalane, Tapioca Starch, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate Citrate, Myristyl Myristate, Butylene Glycol, Benzyl Alcohol, Glycyrrhiza Inflata Root Extract, Carbomer, Phenoxyethanol, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Sodium Hydroxide, Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, DMDM Hydantoin

I use that cream and I haven't had any problems. I wish I knew the answer to your question...sorry you got such a reaction...sometimes I get a swollen eye in the morning but that's because of my allergies :/ (at least I think so)

I use CeraVe and it does not irritate my skin. It is cheap, too, $12
