Hi, all.

I have what looks like some sort of form of dermatitis on my face. At first, I assumed it was a reaction to sulfates in my cleansers. I also thought maybe it was a retinoid. But even when I went off the retinoid and dropped the cleanser with sulfates, I still had flaky red skin. The one thing that I have used continuously is sunscreen. And I use the chemical ones with avobenzone or oxybenzone or whatever. I'm wondering: Could this be the culprit?

Now, I know the obvious answers: see a dermatologist, ditch it and see if your skin improves, etc. Unfortunately, I can't see a derm right now, as I have no insurace. I do intend to stop using the sunscreen/moisturizer for a while to see if that helps. I think my question here, though, is this: Has anyone had a similar reaction to mine from chemical sunscreens?
