I have been using the regimen for about 6 months now, and my skin has been fabulously clear, I use cleanser + Moist + and jojoba oil in the am, and cleanser + BP + AHA + jojoba oil (when I use BP twice a day my skin gets a little too dry however I did start in the cooler months). However my blackheads have never gone away, and recently I have a bunch of whiteheads popping up, in my t zone especially in between my eyes and my nose.
From what I have read it seems, like salicylic acid is used to clear up blackheads/whiteheads, has anyone tried this on the regimen, if so what products did you use? I try to avoid fragrance and salicylic acid doesn't smell too good so most have fragrance. Is there something in the regimen I should be doing differently?
BTW, there have been no drastic changes in my life except the weather is a bit warmer perhaps make my skin more oily.
Thanks, and for anyone looking to try the regimen I highly recommend it, it has really helped me, aside from the blackheads, but those are so small compared to the bigger problems I was having!!
I am also wondering if maybe a gentle exfoliater might help, but I try to avoid irritation so I don't know, I see a lot of salicylic acid and scrubs combined but I feel it wouldn't soak in and really make a difference if you just rinse it off

The proteins from the oil is blocking your pores, I had the same reaction to Extra Virgin Olive Oil. After finding out that the natural oil was the culprit I immediately hunt down a good moisturizer. I am 17, yet I use Lacura night cream. Search it up yourself and you will be amazed by the glowing reviews of people.

hi bekarie,
i was having the same problem and decided to use a mild salicylic acid. i got the sensitive stridex pads with aloe and .5% SA. these worked great for a couple days because not only did they make my skin feel super clean, they also gently exfoliated my dry areas without irritation. then a few days later all hell broke loose. my skin is so irritated and dry now. it's beet red. i'm peeling. and of course a blackhead i thought was ready to pop wasn't, and now have a huge effing planet in the middle of my forehead. it's horrible. so be careful if you do decide to use something with SA. maybe your skin won't be as sensitive as mine. and please, if you find something that works, let me know =)

I use Lumiplexion salcylic acid. It comes in three strengths and you build up. You use it like a toner after cleansing, except it's more a medication than a toner. It seems to keep my blackheads to a minimum.
