Would taking testosterone tablets help my acne?
I've read that they can help build muscle, increase sperm
And heighten energy as well as your sex drive but would it improve my skin

i highlt doubt it. more irregular hormonal fluxuations = the more acne youre going to have.

Why would it make acne worse? Do I have acne because my testosterone levels are high?
I don't think they are because. I'm not extremely hairy and I'm an average hight and build too.
I thought acne was more common in females because they don't produce testosterone.

You have to balance your hormones, but this isn't the way to do it.

Leave your body alone by abstaining from hormone spikes (carbs, junk food, endurance wanking sessions) and everything will sort itself out. Give your body real nutrient-dense food and it'll improve your sperm and strength.

Be very, very careful messing with stuff like that. Someone I know messed with their testosterone for years and they basically went psychotic because of it. He is recovering now and it's taken a lot of work to get his life back together. It turned a sweet, gentle guy into aggressive and terrifying monster. This stuff isn't meant to be messed with without medical supervision...

females do produce testosterone. not as much as males ofcourse. thats why they tend to break out during their periods, estrogen levels decrease, and testosterone levels increase.

Don't mess with your hormones that way. Eat right so your body can manage itself.

Leave your body alone by abstaining from hormone spikes
(junk food, endurance wanking sessions)

Who has endurance wanking sessions
I never spend more than 15 minutes knocking one out
I don't make a day of it or anything like that.

Give your body real nutrient-dense food and it'll improve your sperm and strength.

I'm not really bothered about improving my strength and sperm count
It'd be a plus obviously but what i really care about is sorting my skin out.

estrogen levels decrease, and testosterone levels increase.

So it's more estrogen I need and not more testosterone?
I don't want to mess with anything that might make me grow tits or shrink my pennis.

if your acne is hormonal, testosterone is the cause

I'm not sure it is yet. I think it's more likely food allergies i think
I was hoping Testosterone would strengthen my body
and help it get over this allergy or infection.

Don't mess with your hormones that way. Eat right so your body can manage itself.

It can't. I eat quite well and it does improve my skin but i don't believe my skin will sort itself out
if that was the case it would've done it by now so I'm going to have to do something about it
or learn to live with it which I'm not prepared to settle for yet.

Most people have mistaken ideas of what healthy is. Can you describe your diet? Also, how old are you?

I'm 23. I'm not a health freak or anything but my diet isn't bad
I cook a lot and try to avoid gluten, soya, wheat etc
I eat mainly eat bolognese, chi con carne, pork stirfry etc
things that are easy to cook and taste good Posted Image

Alough there probably isn't a lot of goodness there
i don't think there's much bad either. I do get a lot of fruit too
Apples, oranges, plums, kiwis, peaches, pears etc

I probably should get more veg in my diet. I do eat a lot of sweetcord, pepers, kidney beans, chickpeas.

Yes, especially greens and brassicas.
What do you snack on? Drink?

No dude. unless your trying to be mr.universe body builder, you dont need to take ANY type of hormonal stimulants. Testosterone will make you break out badly, and estrogen will make you grow tits. What you need is to balance out your hormones.

Cigarettes and beer Posted Image
I don't really snake and I mainly drink water in the day.

I only eat twice a day. Once at lunch time and then a big meal at night (two or three plates)

What's the GI of your beer? Do you drink it without food? And are you serious about the cigarettes? They increase inflammation, and deplete/inhibit the absorption of nutrients. Both of which affect acne. Are you using a subsittute for pasta in your bolagnese?

What is your acne like?

What's the GI of your beer?

I'm not sure what GI means. I just drink normal beer
Budweiser, San Miguel, Corona etc. Anything around the 5% mark
My guess is they're all pretty much the same.

Do you drink it without food?

No i usually have two or three beers after diner and before bed.
So between 8 and 11 I'll drink. Never on a empty stomach.

are you serious about the cigarettes?

Yeah i probably smoke 15 per day give or take.
Never knew it had any affect on acne but I enjoy it
so i won't be giving up anytime soon
I'll just increase my nutrients intake to make up for it.

Are you using a subsittute for pasta in your bolagnese?

Sometimes I'll have it with a couple of jacket potatoes but usually i just use pasta.
I tried gluten and wheat free pasta but it was horrific just like the bread.
I only have it once a week at most so i usually go for real pasta.
Do you think I'd be better off eating the brown wholegrain pasta
or the normal standard pasta?

What is your acne like?

I'd say it's moderate. It has it's good days and it has it's bad days
The problem is my skin's starting to look really poor after a decade or so of acne
It's starting to leave it's mark. My skin proably isn't as bad as it was when i was a teenager
then again maybe I've just learned how to deal with it better and have more experience
after the years of making mistakes. I'm unsure if my skin's improved but it's still far from perfect.
