Hello! I am a 20 year old female, who is very insecure about her scars... I suffered from acne since i was 13, and now I am recently acne free because of the acne.org regimen, and I am really happy about it. But after all the inflammation died down, a noticed a lot of acne scars had already formed, and as my acne healed, more of my scars became dominant. I didnt think it mattered until someone asked me if I had a lot of acne in the past because of the many craters in my face *ouch*. I have too many scars to count... Probably over 100 if I had to. My scars aren't as severe as some cases, but it does get my self-esteem low, and its noticeable for people to call me out on it alot. Before jumping into treatments i've read many mixed reviews on, I would like to see what you guys think is best! I have a handful of all types of scars. Rolling, boxcar, and icepicks. My derm had not been helpful and told me that he doesn't treat scars and to go do laser procedures... Please give me some advice. I was thinking of trying dermarolling, but I'd rather hear advice from people who understand and been in my position somewhat. Thank you!

& sorry about the picture quality and lighting .. I had to take it with my phone because I dont have a camera lying around me. trust me my scars look a lot worse in person... & im wearing makeup 00.jpg

Use a little make up if you feel better but, make sure its oil free. Scars suck. I got a couple too. I am a guy. It bugs me sometimes but, the moment I leave my house, I act like I don't care. That it isn't there. You could look at lasers or fillers but, that shit is expensive. If your not using accutane, you may want to consider it since its great for cystic and nodular acne. I didn't get this till in my 20s so, its fucking annoying and it effects the confidence level even as a guy. My advice to you is to stop thinking about. Keep yourself busy, work more, go out with friends work, work out more, go for a run, and live life to the fullest. Acne sucks but, not living sucks even more. Also, from a guys perspective, its really the flaws in a person that makes them them. It sounds cheesie but, its true.

My dermatologist was honest about a scar I got. I used differin samples he offered me and well, it looks a lot better. Its not perfect but, its less noticeable. It did depress me when I first noticed it. I was dating a bit before then, it happened, and I got all weird to be around people. Really self conscious and in my head. People don't notice as much as you do and are less likely to care. If you don't go out, it makes are job in approaching you difficult. :P

I got nothing to prove. I am only on here to help people who buy into the BS sold by Snake Oil Salesman. I have never taken pictures that show the extent of my scars, that Is why I keep referring back to Danielle Ostie.

I respect your privacy and I am not accusing you of anything but for me if I had a treatment and got positive or negative results I will share my photos. Photos speak a million words. In this way I will help many desperate people who are fed up with derms and shells advertising for their lasers or products. again I don't mean you but I am speaking in general. I would love more people share their experiences with photos.

Maybe when I am finished with my journey I will post the worst before picture I can find and a current picture, but I am still a work in progress. I am older than all of you, so I will be going for a facelift later this year, and that may conclude things for me, although I might continue with Re:pair as a yearly tuneup. Re:pair works but most people go into it too timid to reap the benefits. Re:pair is either a case of go strong and often, or just don't bother at all. If a person has deep scars and the doctor says he wants to treat you at 40-50mj tell him not to bother because you are not going to get results. I was lucky to find a doctor that went full blast at 70mj right off the bat. There are some people with very sensitive or darker skin that cannot do Re:pair, but those that can should. The only reason I am here is to dispell some of the misinformation that is spread. I have nothing to gain from this.

As I keep saying there are some people who should not do Re:pair. If you are hispanic or asian think long and hard before you do Re:pair. Until you move into intense fractionalized ablative CO2 you are using a 22 to hunt an elephant. You simply cannot get results if you use a peashooter. I went through regular CO2 so I knew I could handle Re:pair. Re:pair is serious business, but I believe the majority of people would benefit from it.
