Im starting a new masturbation restriction log. I am aware that there are several others already but they are a bit crowded and I wanted to find a few people willing to try this with me. The longest I have gone was 2 weeks and I saw noticeable improvement in my skin. To be positive, Im going to go for at least 2 months and then indefinitely. My info: Male, 17, acne since 15, moderately severe, dad & grandpa had it, soy free diet that emphasizes raw fruits & veggies, haven't tried accutane,

I realize that I should have started this at the beginning of my journey, but I'm already on day 6. Please join me and post your successes & failures! Need I say more?

Well, it may worsen around the 7 th day since your testosterone lvl increases by 150%. Then from that day it falls back to normal lvl. So to see results it must be more than atleast a week.

reeallY? thanks for the tip. I intend to restrain from masturbation for 2 months, my acne did improve for the first 4 days but just two days ago, it has worsened a bit, I might just be imagining it though. I have a question. What does 150% mean exactly? How does 150% compare next to an orgasm and ejaculation? Could you elaborate on that please?

just an update, Im on day 7 and im confident that I am feeling the effects of of the 7th day peak. Hoping to start clearing up again in a few days. I'm also taking wheatgrass daily which is high in vitamins, minerals, and it a blood purifier and possibly an antiandrogen. my fingers are crossed that the wheatgrass will speed things up. I'll update again soon with results in a few days.

day 17 and my acne has reduced dramatically! WOW! yet i haven't cleared 100%. It has now been confirmed that DHT is a primary contributor to my acne. I know soy affects my acne too because of the estrogen, so acne is definitely hormonal. I wonder how I can control my hormones more? because abstaining from sex/masturbation is not practical and not a cure, only 90% better. I will wait about a month until I have a clear consensus.

Im going to try this too, even though im only on day 1. Im trying this not only for my acne but for the psychological effects or masturbating daily can cause. It is proven that masturbating daily or more than once a day(like me) can cause a comfortableness in sitting in front of the computer and watching porn and make an individual less likely to go out and find girls to have physical sex with. Whenever I go out to a party or whatever I dont really care if i hook up with a girl or not because im most likely just going to go home and beat off.

I'm on day 20, i think. My acne has sort of plateau-ed in terms of improvement. After th 7 day spike, my acne got alot more manageable but now i'm still breakout, alot less than before but its consistently there. Hoping that in 2 months i will see dramatic improvement. But then again, why would waiting that long have better results than a week after the spike? I'm not sure If abstaining from masturbation will be the only way to get rid of acne because of other factors.

Are there others here that have noticed improvement from abstaining from masturbation but have other tips relating to DHT and such?

also, way to go tyler r. Its pretty hard the first week but you get used to it.
