Specifically to those who used accutane years ago, have you suffered any long term side effects? Having dry skin and lips is more or less a definite with Accutane, and most logs here are those who are going through the process now and mention the side effects during the process of taking accutane.

Is there anyone who took accutane a while ago and has had any lasting side effects?

Well I took it for awhile when I was 19 and as I remember most of the side effects were gone by a year, the longest were the dry lips and skin. I took a short course now when I'm 29 and a month later I'm still getting skin rashes but not really dry skin or lips so go figure lol.

Its frustrating to cause, my diet is awesome, and well, I battle tis crap. Worse is like now having a singular papule or nodular pimple. Thank god in heaven, it is not a face full of those cause, I do not think I could handle it. Blood test this weekend, and its accutane for me next week. I fear the side effects but, I got to listen to my body. I am going to do my best and try to really take a good approach to this.
