I've had bad acne for a while now, but it's started to fade. However, I've also had these red marks that are left. They've been there for months, some ever years now. It's really frustrating since I've tried so many things and the red marks never went away. They've only slightly faded over the years, but it's mostly still there.

That's what my red marks look like.

Also, if it helps, usually, when I wake up, the red marks are significantly lighter. However, they get more and more present as I get ready. Usually, after half an hour, they look normal.

Have you been doing the treatment outlined on the website? I started doing it exactly as they outline and it has helped a ton! I also read something on the site about applying lemon juice to lighten scars. A lot of people have had success with that. Hope this helps :)

I've tried lemon, but I don't think it did much for me :(

I've also tried the treatment on the site, but the last time I tried was a lonngggg time ago, when I still had active acne. Not sure if I'm willing to try again though...

i find that the only thing that really works is clearing acne first... i think the skin heals much faster when there's no more active acne. i guess the skin can concentrate on healing the red makrs rather than the actives. :S

happyking is right, your skin isnt completely cured of acne yet and so healing will take longer. I haven't tried this myself, however, i have heard amazing reviews about a product called ambi fade which is meant to fade acne scars and redness. I will give it a try when my own acne starts to fade, but right now i'm suffering a massive outbreak of acne.

I have the same problem as you, and when I wake up my marks also seem faded. I think it's something to do with circulation, but even if I take a nap in the afternoon my skin seems much more even when I wake up...and then it goes back to being marked. I've tried Ambi Fade Cream and in all honesty, it did nothing for me. I know it works for some and I don't want to discourage anyone from trying it, but after about six months I stopped using it due to lack of results. I'm trying out the turmeric paste method listed on another thread so we'll see...I've also heard AVC and lemon juice work too...I guess it's just a question of looking for what works for your skin. I'm tempted by Nars Skin Lightening but I do not have 120 dollars to spend on cream!

I started the regimen in July 2012- I'm 98% clear on the regimen as of April 2013, and I reduced my dosage to 2 pumps once a day in September 2013 with no problems. I'm working on evening out my skin tone and at the moment I'm using Re-Gen Cream and Clinique Face Cream SPF 40 :)
